Re: Catching Fire Oh my gosh, the whole idea of Mags was so sad ... such an old woman who had a stroke taking place of Annie ... it was so sad, and I was like, freaking out cause I imagined her trying to stay afloat in the water ..
I kept imagining Katniss's quote while she's considering adding Beetee and Wiress to the team to calm myself cause I keep laughing; went something like: Peeta: "Johanna nicknamed them Nuts and Volts. I think she's Nut's and he's Volts." Katniss: "And I'm so stupid for thinking they might be useful. Because of something Johanna Mason said while she was oiling up her breasts for wrestling." _________________

HAHA!! She was soooo funny though. She took off her tree and stood casually in the elevator with only a pair of green slippers on xDDD I know! I thought the bird thing was cool, but kinda silly with the feathers xD I was like what*****? And then I was trying to remember any sex scenes xDDD I reckon an Avox, because I'll bet you anything Katniss will be in the games again. They can't turn him into a mutt, because a mutt is like a clone! It's just merged DNA from different things/people, not exactly them ._. _________________

Re: Catching Fire That's what everyone on the forum thought Catching Fire was going to be. But don't you think it's a coincedence that in the next and last book Kat will be 18? Last chance to be in the Hunger Games?
 what episode is that off??No, I like Peeta now. I don't understand why Toph though Gale was so selfish, when he was helping both Kat and Peeta to survive. What do you like best about these books? I'd have to say I love the suspense and how everything about the Capitol makes you angry and how real it is when Kat gets hurt, cause you know she could die. And how she explores the forest with Gale ... I used to do that up near our farm with my friend, and he is described like Gale too, lol. Tall with dark hair. So I can't help loving Gale or loving the book ... cause I feel I can relate =] _________________

Re: Catching Fire Ok, so Tuesday "night" I crawl in to bed at about 6pm on page 1, at 1:50am, I'm found on page 398-ish rereading those last words from Gale thinking "NO ladybug **** OF A WAY IN HELL! AND YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME WAIT TO FIND OUT WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS?!?!?" at this time my mom walked in to my room to tell me to go to sleep. It freaking blew my mind, though if any one off topic quote stood out in my mind it was about getting the goat knocked up lol, and Peeta's interview left me confused for a few lines too lol (Btw, I'm still a Gale fan, only because I relate to him much better than I do the baker's kid ;P ) and I do see why Rima called Gale selfish, go back to the chapter where Kat tells him about the rebellion in district 8, anyways, awesome book, kind of disappointing that I got sucked in so far that I read it in one night but, nothing I'm still losing sleep over lol

No, I think it is because the death of that game-maker was not supposed to be openly known. The fact that she, as a victor from D-12, had knowledge of it may have caused some stirring to the other important capitol game people. I guess that the smell of rebellion in the air was stronger that they may have been led to or wanted to believe. OMDG!!! I am so wanting to discuss this book and my daughter wants to do Hunger Games first. (And I do understand she needs to read that one first, but...) Re: Catching Fire Well, it wasn't that bad of a cliffhanger. I've read worse. It ended with Gale telling Katniss that District 12 had been destroyed. We don't know where they're going or what happened to Peeta (I really don't care though. I don't like Peeta.).
