Why hello Glenwing. I have had much pleasure reading this thread of Saphiraforums, especially the locked topics... I’m sure any other likewise passive observers would agree… Anyway, I’d like to start roleplaying again so I’ve borrowed my old character from Wyrda and edited it. Make a post when you accept it, ty. And there are no grammatical or spelling errors throughout.

Name: Avander

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Job/Specialty (Skills): Avander works as a wandering, trained mercenary. He is skilled with the sword and bow. He earns his living carrying out tasks for hidden agencies, but will not work in aid of the Empire. Avander's untapped potential for magic has not yet been tested or seen.

Race: Human

Hair: Long but not untidy. Dark brown to black, and slightly curly.

Eyes: Light brown

Body: Thin and lean, but strong.

Home Village: Dras-Leona

Parents: Unknown Humans. His father was a human Rider

Siblings: As far as he knows he has no living relations at all.

Character Personality: While a very deep thinker and sensitive character, Avander's life of solitude has made him very cautious and wary. He prefers to live on his own and is uncomfortable around people he does not know well, although his education and upbringing keeps him courteous. While he will act friendly to others, attempts on his life have made him live constantly on guard of his life and he will manoeuvre his position in conversations to ensure he reveals nothing about himself. He has a very deeply ingrained sense of honour and justice but is not afraid to kill potential threats. Avander holds respect for others but will refuse to see others as above equal to him unless proved. He does not hold the present Riders in high regard because he feels they are not doing their duty in taking down the Empire, and he will not hold respect for them until they do so.

Character History: Has no memory of parents. He was rescued from his parents’ killers by an isolated spy of the Varden, who gave him a formal education as well as training in self defence and stealth. When the spy was arrested by the Empire, Avander escaped to live by himself. The Empire’s actions toward those he has loved has made him determinedly against them, although he has no faith in the Varden and desires no support from them either. He has taught himself how to fight and use weapons, and has found that he is able to shield his thoughts from users of magic and hide himself completely from them by removing himself from his thoughts.

Character's good personality traits: He has a quick wit and is smart, with a subdued temper and an ability to always stay level-headed in all situations. He has a determined and resolute character, and is a loyal warrior.

Character's bad personality traits: He is very distrustful of people he does not know well. This makes him seem paranoid and scared to others.

Weapons: A long and very heavy unadorned broadsword. This is his main weapon. He is otherwise proficient to a reasonable extent in a great variety of weapons because of his experience – particularly knives and blades. He carries a bow and a arrows with him for hunting.

Likes: Anyone he can trust.

Dislikes: Anything else he cannot fully trust.

Animal Companions: He travels with his horse Meldon, with whom he finds he is capable of developing an unusually deep bond with.

Character's Physical Description: Well built, very fast with a great deal of stamina. Usually dresses in light leather armour. There is a light scar running down his left cheek, of which he has no memory of how it was inflicted.

Dreams for the Future: To possibly find a place or group of persons where he can stay and live.
Reason for Dreams: Possibly he can do something from there to help overthrow the Empire.

Alignment/side: Debatably neutral – neither with nor against the Varden but decidedly against the Empire.

Not very long cos its an old character of mine (Ignatius) from another site, with a new name and some extra stuff. It took about half an hour
