I have an idea though.
Wouldn't it make perfect marketing since to advertise the release date of the third book at the theatre with the release of the first movie??
Could be why everyone is so hush hush about it all. They know we'll know the release date soon enough!

I can't wait either!! I've been told I am obssessed, but at least I can relate here!!
My friends say it would basically be publicity suicide to release the third book close to the release of the last Potter book.
Personally, I hope they do, and it blows Potter out of the running by a thousand miles!! (Yes, I'm a bored Potter fan, it has gone on for too long!)

I live in New Zealand -- this means that we are in Summer right now -- our summer months are December, January, February. And because people kept on saying the release date was summer 2007, I thought I only had to wait 1 to 2 months more.... .

Never mind. What month (about) is it being released? Thanx! Even though you made me realise how long I would actually have to wait...

On the contrary, shorts and tee shirts are popular clothing choices around here. And you should see those fair tourists who are simply TOPLESS in the scorching sun... (Makes me wonder why WHITE people wans to be TAN and MY people wans to be FAIR)

[color=cyan][i suppose in a way it is good for book sales and general interest in a book series if it is unfinished... after a whole series comes out interest can be lost and the plot can be forgotten and the books die to a certain extent.. if you see what i meen ..

we should be thankful aswell, if the books came out close togethor there would be no need for sites like this to try and predict what wil happen/color]

i have often thought what would happen if say an author like JK rowling died before she finnished the last book , what would happen then ... such a big phenomenon would either have to be lost or written by a different writter,

same goes for CP if he hadn't finnished book 3, thought i think it woud be easier to write book 3 of inheritence than book 7 of hp as we have some idea of what will happen in book 3

what do you meen ? theoretically JK is capable of writng the 7th book, i didnt say she wouldn't lol

its coming out in summer. and if you were wondering the harry potter book is coming out soon. as in april or may i think. they're already taking reserves for it so i'm guessing its coming out soon.

I thought the name for book three was Empire. you know to keep in with the whole 6 letters long and starting with an E thing.

I was buying Eldest, the lady at the counter said it is supposed to come out this summer or fall, but it was supposed to come out last winter. I don't know if that's true, but it's what I heard.

im so impatient there are so many theories about it, i just wanna see which ones r true.... and also i wanna see if saphira and eragon are happy in the end, with saphira having a mate (hopefully Greeny) and eragon with Arya (hopefully she will b the next rider) I hope the book comes out this summer as i have to work all summer and the 3rd book would b a gd companion.

I think everyone wants book III to come out. I personally think that Book III will come out in septmeber like eldest did( or was that august?)

actually now there is information on that it will come out in america in one of the last three months of 2007 it will come out in other countries in the first three months of 2008.
