Movie companies are too lazy nowdays to remake a movie like that (unless its something big like King Kong or LOTR that hasn't been around for awhile). I doubt we'll get another Eragon. We can only hope that a different director directs Eldest and then we might be going somewhere...

I think its because directors hate having to copy off things and want to use their own ideas. Stuff it!!!
