They're good, don't get me wrong...
but, well...
When it comes to vampire books (which are one of my fave types) they aren't the best.
They're just to over rated.
Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Now SHE can write a good vampire book.
Sorry, kiddos. She's good but not nearly the best. (in my opinion, of course.)

i thought the whole saga was pretty got she could have done more with it and that would have been nice but that is ok i guess.
p.s. i have a feeling that they botched the movie judging from past experince.

Again, its not gonna be the book on film. Get used to it, get over it. I'm a huge fan and I know that it wont be the same.

i personally think the actor they picked to play edward just really isn't up to scratch.

as far as my friends and i are concerned (and it has been the topic of much debate down here) he will NEVER be Edward Cullen.

Okay, so, why do people like it so much??
When it comes to how good the writing only is, I'd have to say it's alright.
The story is pretty good but I've read better.
Is it just 'cause Bella is a relatable character??

Bella is a relatable character yes, but its also that its the most amazing love story

Edward is PERFECT. We all want to be Bella, I think we all secretly hate her because, team Jacob or Team Edward, they both love her indubitably.
Vampires are SEXY no one can deny that!
We all want an Edward and Bella kind of love.


Its a read-it and have your own reason for liking or hating it book.

I truely don't think the whole love story was amazingly good.
It was good, I wont hesitate to say it was good.
But, well, I've read vamp books that are, hands down, 3,000 Xs better.
Go out and read a vamp book by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
Or the author that wrote Blood and Chocolate, she's got a good one too.
It was refreshing to have a new sort of vampire though.

i gave it two thumbs up because it stayed with the book mostly.

A lot of people will call it bad just because they werent very bright and expected perfection

But I was actually expecting a lot LESS! So it was amazing and perfect in my eyes. As close as you can get to the book for hollywood

Twilight is a long book, but a lot of it is descriptive. For instance, Smeyer could use a paragraph just to describe Edward's walk, where as you can see it in the movie.
They didn't leave out much, they changed little and overall it was amazing.
