By our acting is if we are some how shocked at how bad the movie was to the book we are just lying to ourselves because we already knew this would happen. Arya, Urgals, Katrina, Saphiras feathers, and so much more sucked in the movie. Dwarves? Farthen Dur? Vardens outfits? Twins? Elva? Katrina? Kull? Eragons development and mentoring by Brom? Saphira being magically grown by lightning?.........I'm lying to say I did not know this would happen

The biggest problem I have with the movie is that it makes the series out to be very kiddie oriented instead of for the young adults and older crowds. I feel that many people will never consider reading the real story now after they have seen Fox's and Fangmier's imitation crap!

Well I'll be honest to say that I loved the movie. I stopped comparing it to the book and started to see it as just another "Eragon-like" story with the same characters.

I'm actually not lying to myself. The first thing I saw wrong with the movie was Arya's blonde hair. That's when I knew Eragon wasn't going to be that great. As more and more things came out I became even more convinced. When the trailer came out I was reassured that sure maybe SOME stuff would be different but not a lot. The trailer honestly had me thinking that. I think that the reason why most people make such a big deal about the movie is that everyone knew things were going to be bad but no one knew just how bad. When I saw the movie I was just shocked at how much more was wrong than I thought there would be.

i think that the reviews were way underestimated. i mean, since when does brom burn garrow? and where is the mention of the star sapphire? i didnt really like the movie...........

Saphira did not have feather they were scales and if you looked at texture and not just shape you should have noticed that.
No, the movie isn't a lot like the book and yes many things should have been different. I think it should have been longer and teirm shouldn't have been cut out but it was a well made movie and when you go to see it exepting an awful movie thats all you will see it as.

The main thing that was wrong is that they didn't stick tothe book plot and arya's hair was the wrong color. By itself the movie was pretty good.

i do think everyone is to obsessed with arya's hair color. She was a good choice for arya and better than i expected so the hair wasn't a big deal.

I think there would have been a better actor to play arya. Her name is kristin Kreuk. You might want to look her up on your search engine. She is deffiently a better choice for arya.

Saphira did have feathers, they even talk about on the DVD, just wanted to clear that up.

Without even mentioning the 50 or so details that were left out, even if i hadnt read the book the movie was terrible. The dialogue was cliche and childish most of the time and I know many people say that you just have to forget the book and treat it as a movie but, lets face it, why should we? The movie is suppose to be about Eragon the book. I dont think it even portayed the characters right. Especially Murtagh. You all know what Im talking about.

Thank you! Some finally has the same opinion as me! And something else, the phrases they said and how the actors said them were SO corny! Whenever someone asks me about the movie now I just say either...

a) (in a dramatic, sad, sarcastic voice) Saphira! Don't Die Saphira! *burst into to fake tears*

b) (in demanding voice with a strong British accent) I'm the Rider and I say we go!

c) *eye roll* Don't even get me started. (then my friend will chime in) "Seriously, DON'T!"

You guys should of heard me on the way home from the movie. I was bubbling over with fury. lol

yes i agree as well that the movie wasn't made to it's potential but it would have been better if they put more detail in and lastly they shouldn't have put feathers on saphira it makes her look like a huge, scaly,blue chiken
