I agree with elvenwarrior about a council. After having King G. as a ruler, the people might not be as quick to let Roran be king. Hes a good leader though. Arya can't be the next dragon rider, she's already the princess of Ellesmera. Vanir will probably be the next.

Also, about Roran, other than he is Eragon's cousin, there are not other reasons for Roran to becmoe rider. he won't be the greatest swordfighter or spell caster, and any elf would be better (Arya would be best).

i think she'll go with eragon, he'll ask her to be the egg's protector, and once they are away from where ever they got it, it'll hatch for arya (i hope that makes sense!)

I still say Roran. Also not all the races will be picked. The Dwarves you left out, so it won't be fair either way. And Roran is destined to be it, he can lead and Arya needs to stay with her people.

All three races will have a protecter that will balance. It all makes sense!

She did fine on Saphira when she broke the Isidar Mithrim. But Dwarves were never included in the magic that bound dragons with the other races. And Dwarves don't want to be attached to a dragon and as Orik said, he would rather have his feet on the ground. As for Roran, being a rider comes from Brom's and Morzan's side, not Selena's. I also don't think that Roran is qualified.

oh and morzan most likely isnt eragons father! murtagh didnt no that they didnt share the same father so technically he wasnt lyin but anyhow broms his father! and eragons fathers sword is his Ihheritance which is hidden under the roots of the menoa tree! and roots means orgin if u look it up so the orgin of the menoa tree or the two elvan families so eragons sword is with 1 family and the 3rd riders is with the other 1!

I think that Arya is going to be the third rider. The way this will come about will be when
Eragon kills the Ra' Zac and their steeds he will find the third egg which will happen in the beggining of the third book. He will then give it to Arya when he returns to the varden with Roran and Katrina and after Arya begins her task of being the dragon courier again it will hatch and the final battle won't happen till all of the prophecies have been completed including the rock of kuthian and the menoa tree so it might give the third dragon long enough to mature and be able to fight in the final fight.
