Name: - Caete (Pronounced as Sate)
Age:- 19
Gender: - Male
Skills: Concussion: Caete can create concussions in the air by changing the temperature or pressures of the surrounding wind, water and factors. He doesn’t necessarily have to change the temperature or pressure, he can naturally create a blast without other factors, such as extending from something. If he uses a normal attack such as a punch or the swing of a sword, his body naturally calculates the force of a concussion into the blow, however he must have the intent to create a concussion when the blow is dealt. This is especially useful in hand to hand combat and proves to be handy in ranged combat.
Sight: Caete is capable of seeing into a person’s soul and future. He naturally sees into the person’s soul, which can fluctuate depending on the factors of their physical, mental, and spiritual condition. He can see a change in a person’s soul before they usually can tell they are changing themselves. He rarely uses this ability, because he feels like it intrudes into the other people’s free will, though in cases such as extreme evil or threats he will use his sight.
Angelic Powers: Because Caete is half-angel he has the ability to use both the Ancient Language and the Language of the Angels to cast magic. His angelic magic is similar to the Ancient Language, however it does not have to be spoken, nor does it have to do specifically with items. It calls on endless heavenly power to fight and heal most wounds completely. It is physically taxing on Caete to use his angelic powers due to his being only half angel, however he has gained considerable strength through training and practice.
Rites: The Angelic Magic is related strongly to Nephilim’s use of Rites, which are small slips of paper made by Nephilim that will do what they want. These papers are in sections of “Attacks” (Red Slips), “Barriers”(Blue Slips), “Healing”(Yellow Slips), and “Ordinary”(Ranging from Green to Brown to Purple Slips). Attack Rites are fast-acting and take little preparation to use. Barriers require more skill and also a larger amount of preparation, both mental and physical. Healing Rites often only take mental preparation to instill, however few do require a small physical offering. The Ordinary Rites are separated into smaller groups, which are higher in number than the four main categories and often only require small physical preparations that often include rune circles, inscriptions and recitations.
• Lysis: This is an angel attack that sends a wave of destruction (usually at a large group) towards an enemy that is incredibly strong. This only weakens the enemy, usually causing numbness within their bodies or paralysis. By using this it weakens the foe while also minimizing their suffering, thus remaining humane.
• Scourge: An angel attack that takes time to concentrate against either a fist, weapon, or object before being released against or toward a target. It is usually composed of natural elements such as light, darkness, earth, etc. This is usually used as a disorienting or distracting method to gain the upper hand in hand to hand combat.
• Curatio: This is a healing technique that heals both internal wounds (poisons, paralysis, etc.) and external wounds (burns, cuts, etc.). It takes more energy than attacks, yet this energy is generally easier to gain back than the power consumed to make an attack. However this healing technique will automatically heal both Caete and the person he wants to heal, making this a versatile spell.
Race: - Nephilim; Half-Angel and Half-Human (Nephilim, like elves, have immortality because of the angelic properties in their blood, thus appear to stop aging after thirty-ish.)
Hair: - His hair is dark blonde and naturally wavy; it cuts off past his ears.
Eyes: - His eyes are a dark green that fluctuate to grey and yellow/gold when he casts certain kinds of magic.
Home Village: - Ellesmera
Parents: - Father- Riakal (Deceased), Mother- Lianne
Siblings: - Sister- Marici,12 years old.
Character Personality: Caete has a reserved and quiet personality. He will do what is equal and just when it comes to moral values. However, he prefers to remain uninvolved in other people’s business. He has strong opinions, and will fight for his beliefs, yet tries to remain level-headed. He doesn’t like getting close to people due to the death of his father. He feels like if he isn’t stronger, then he can’t protect them and tries to remain detached. This is in direct opposition of his naturally magnetic and cheerful personality. He has a charming demeanor that attracts people to him. As the years after his father’s death have progressed and passed he has become excellent at seeming impeccably serious. Though his good humor usually ruins that façade in instants. In fact he is often told that he tries too hard to escape the past. He often refuses to listen when it comes to people speaking about his past and often loses his temper when his father is mentioned. He still holds a strong adoration for his father who, despite his position at the court’s of Ellesmera, defended Du Weldenvarden at every chance and was even at the battle with the late King of Du Weldenvarden. Caete aspires to serve Alagaesia as his father did many times and will stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
Character History: To begin Caetes’ tale we must first go into a brief background of his race and their arrival on Alagaesia. When the Nephilim (and back then also some Angels) arrived on Alagaesia the Elves had already inhabited Du Weldenvarden. Caete’s father, Riakal, was actually leading the Nephilim to new lands, and they found Du Weldenvarden. Riakal served as the representative of his race upon the Nephilim’s arrival. He was viewed as the perfect example of a leader, noble and kind. Their arrival actually sparked an amazing pilgrimage within the great forest. Bringing elves from every city and reach to Ellesmera where the Nephilim were staring. Even then the elves viewed the Nephilim as true beauty, as fascinating. They flocked in the streets to see the beautiful winged creatures, the human looking beauties. The Elves began calling them “The Golden Ones” due to the gold in their wings and hair.
Riakal met with Evandar, the elven King and he too was enthralled with them. Evandar, after testing the Nephilim, became close friends with Riakal and soon appointed him as a personal advisor. Soon after Nephilim became advisors in all elven cities and retained ties with their immortal counterparts for hundreds of years. The existence of the Nephilim has been a carefully kept secret, only elves knowing who or what they are. No other race knows of their existence, besides that of rumors and myths.
Then Galbatorix killed Evandar. Riakal was at the battle of Illirea, disguised as a normal elf through magic. Riakal cried out when Evandar fell, mortally wounded, dying. Galbatorix laughed. Yet the elves could do nothing more. They returned to Ellesmera and secluded themselves thoroughly, appointing Islanzadi as ruler. Islanzadi retained Riakal as an advisor and kept the Nephilim an even tighter secret than before.
When Caete was born the Queen was still ruled by misery and this lasted for sixteen years of his life, until her assassination attempt. He lived his young life with his mother and father and soon after him, his baby sister. He grew up learning as the three elven children around him did. He studied with Glaedr and Oromis for a time, learning their aerial maneuvers and perfecting magic and several different languages. He was in fact a bright student, strong minded and following in his fathers footsteps to become a royal advisor. Caete had grown up knowing the royal family, walking along the corridors with the Queen or Arya. He was a child and they doted upon him, and the other Nephilim children as well, but they treated him as their own, because in a way, he was. He thought of them as family, calling the Queen “Aunt” when he wasn’t in public or when things were not formal.
The assassination attempt occurred when he was sixteen. He was with the Queen and his father, listening to his advisory, so that he may one day fulfill the same role. In his words Caete describes it as disorienting and blurry. In his mind he remembers that day clearly. As if there was nothing else in his mind. A demented elf, whom was captured by Galbatorix and tortured to the point of madness had made his way through the courtyard at the Mad King’s willing. He had twisted the poor elf’s mind to believe that he was saving the world by killing the Queen. It happened fast, not slow like some stories say, the elf stabbed and Riakal jumped in front of the blade, Caete at the same time threw his knife, sticking the elf in the ribs. Guards ran toward the elf detaining him until he died, healer’s approached even faster, trying desperately to save his father. Caete fell and pushed his hand’s onto his father’s heart, where the gash was. Trying to stop the bleeding. He’ll never forget the words his father said, “Such a good throw son… you’ll be stronger than I ever was… Tell your mother... and sister… that I love them... and you.” In the next moment he was dead.
Caete threw himself into constant training for the next three years, stopping only to take care of his sister and mother, and to speak to the Queen. They all grieved with him. He however had to have his justice. He knew Galbatorix had caused this in the world. He knew that he had the potential to help in his destruction. He knew that he needed to travel the rest of Alagaesia to find the cracks in Galbatorix’s reign so that he may tear them down. He formal requested a leave from the Queen and she accepted it, allowing him to leave Du Weldenvarden. He is now beginning his quest for revenge and justice.
Weapons: Heaven’s Wrath: This is a double-handled halberd crossed with a sword (

This was in fact a blade that he and his late father made together, it is indestructible and incredibly well made for his first created blade. It has Angelic inscriptions running along the blade that ensure complete strength and because the blade recognizes his angelic blood it acts as a perfect extension of himself.
Griffin: This is a small knife that actually belonged to his father; he does not know the origin of the blade or whom it was made by. The blade is curved with inscriptions along its length, while the hilt is intricately shaped as feathers(

Likes: - Being home, animals, reading, and good food.
Dislikes: - Frustration, Galbatorix, and not sleeping.
Weakness / Fear: - He hasn’t travelled much outside of Du Weldenvarden, thus doesn’t particularly know any main weakness of his. He does however fear the deaths of his sister and mother. He lost his father due to a mysterious attack that had managed to infiltrate Ellesmera and fears that another such attack may occur against his family or him.
Animal Companions: -All Nephilim are born with an animal naturally attracted to them. Caete is no different. Upon his birth, a beast crawled out of the vast reaches of Du Weldenvarden. Pure white, young, small. It was a baby, just like him, destined to grow up with him, it was a large cat. The elves had never seen anything like it, just as they had never seen anything like the Nephilim. It wasn’t a were-cat, despite its’ intelligence, but it was also not a known species. It informed Caetes’ parents that its name was Blanc. The elves estimated that he would grow to be almost as tall as a horse, much stronger and much faster. He would grow into an extremely beautiful creature, large enough to ride by the time that Caete was prepared to leave Ellesmera. He was constantly by Caete’s side throughout his life, even at the Queen’s assassination attempt.
Character's Physical Description: Caete is around 5”9 for and has a muscular build, and because of his angelic lineage he has wings at a span of just under 6 feet. He generally does not cover his wings with magic, but whenever he is outside of Du Weldenvarden he tries to keep them veiled. His wings are a light gray, with flecks of white and black. This is traditional of the male Nephilim, with exceptions of a rare few; most women Nephilim however have pure white, sometimes even blue or golden wings. Caete has strong arms and legs. He spends excessive amounts of time training his legs because of his wings. He feels like his entire body should be balanced, thus trains his legs just as much as his wings or arms.
Dreams for the Future: - To protect those he loves and rid the world of evil.
Reason for Dreams: - He is afraid that the people he loves will be taken from him by the evils that he can sense throughout the world.
Alignment/side: - Any side that follows justice and good.
