Re: Eragon`s true name Oromis says that he thinks he could guess Eragon's true name when Eragon asks him to tell him (Eragon) what his true name is. However he dosen't as he says that the journey to discovering your true name is just as important as the actual true name itself.

Re: Eragon`s true name Eragon will probably go on a journey to find his true name, but there is no doubt that he will find it. I think that he will go in search of the VoS and find it on the way.

Re: Eragon`s true name maybe if he is in a hurry the elves could tell him what they believe it is his true name. arya knows him the best maybe she can guess half of his name. if he combines all the names they guessed, maybe he'll find his name.

The elves stick to what they believe to the end and no other elf knows him enough to guess his name or offer help to him and if he goes around asking lots of people about it then they would want to know why and then word of that or the RoK would end up getting back to Galby.

Re: Eragon`s true name he doesn't have to ask around, but if he is a hurry arya could help him guess his name. glaedr and saphira could help too. i don't think they'll make eragon take a trip to better understand himself when they are about to lose the war.

Re: Eragon`s true name Murtagh was only better at protecting his mind before Eragon's training. When the fight with each other in later they are more or less evenly matched in terms of mental strength. (I'm talking about mind duels not there strength with magic.

Re: Eragon`s true name It doesn't matter how strong Eragon gets at protecting his mind. Galby spent years breaking into minds of dragons far more powerful than him and as far as we know he succeeded. Eragon can barely keep his own with Murtagh much less Galby.

Re: Eragon`s true name Has any one considered that Eragon's name may not be able to be said because who he is can not be defined until he completely understands himself, and i think that this will not happen until he defeats the king, so who is to say his name is set yet, although i am happy to be proven wrong.
