My *** "don't want to say the word" internet service provider is etisalat and they love to block websites using there proxy servers. It is hell, myspace.com is block and xanga.com too, but http://www.xanga.com works fine. They block anything, they blocked eragonplus.com once and it took 2 weeks to get them to unblock it. The ISP is own by the goverment so they decided to pass a law that sayed that all skype like systems were illegal.



That is what I get when I try to access a block site. Wonders how my site was breaking the moral values of the UAE.



That is skype.com, they want you to think that the website is down, but I know it works. This is what they use when they don't want to tell you that it is block.

I figured.. i think i know why UAE apply those kind of rule... it's been a consideration too to be applied in where im from (indonesia), but a lot of institutions, NGO, internet providers and some liberal organizations opposed it.. Of course i can see why they're planning to block some addresses.. (but honestly, I Don'T see why they block EragonPlus)
Like on my internal campus internet, if we type anything that contain "teen" or "love" or some listed address it automatically blocked by the proxy server
