i ve been thinking and also came up with something,solembum says that eragon must find the VOS and to gain admitance he has to speak his name, this could indicate that there is a sort of door gaurd to the VOS, if this is true i think that it could be another dragon as only a dragon would be able to hide the VOS so effectivly esspecially if it was a grey dragon (rock Coloured) jus a reali weird suggestion, it popped into my head randomly

Thats just like my theory that there might be two dragons in bk3 cause in the 1st there was Saphira and Shruikan, 2nd Glaedr and thorn so in 3rd there might be greenie and VOS gaurdian.

I just had a thought while reading this.. Maybe during the fight with Galbatorix, Saphira does get injured, rather badly by a spell. Eragon will then have to journey to the VOS to find someone with great power who can heal her.

Adding a twist to that idea, it might have to be Galbatorix, Brom of even the first Eragon. Or an even bigger twist.. the dragon that the first Eragon found.

do you think that the vos will be at the top of that one mountain saphira was trying to fly over in the book eragon. cuz remember that eragon was getting light headed and whatnot. it would fit perfectly if the vos was somewhere that could only be reached by the way of a dragon

I think that when Eragon opens the VOS that the soals Vrael, Brom, The First Eragon, and Oromis (I think he dies by then) go to Eragon to strengthen him. While the souls of thier dragons go to Saphira to make her unstopible. I came to this conclution by the fact (even though we don't know why) Galby and Murtagh grew so strong is by absorbing the souls of the dead with the help of Dark Magic. From page 640 of Eldist "The consciousness of the Rider felt strange to Eragon, as if it contained multitudes; scores of distinct voices whispered in the caverns of his mind,like imprisoned spirits begging for release." This is the evidence.

I think maybe Brom and The 1st Eragon show up and give him mass amounts of power and they teach him great things then he is ready to fight Galby.

Yes but I don't think Brom could have tought him more than Oromis is teaching him.

That is my thought exsactly. Galby can't know were it is. He would be unstopable if he did or maybe he knows were it is but can't open it. Eragon has to speak his true name to open it so perhaps only a few people are able to open it.

I believe Galby knows his true name, otherwise I don't think he would be so careless. Anyway, I also think he can speak his name to it, and that may be why he is so strong and also why Murtagh is too.

But scarecrow explain me this, If Galby had accsess to the VOS why not march on the varden or elves himself. He would be powerful enough. No I think Eragon has to say his true name and no one but he can. Also look on Pg 650 in Eldist when Murtagh said that Galby knew their true names I think he was talking about himself and Thorn, not Eragon.

Ive herd three good ideas on that one is that it is in the Helgrind, the other is at Doru Araeba, and the last is at Marna but we don't know enough about the Marna. I think it is at Doru Araeba. What yall think

Eragon who else but I think the new Rider will be some one who dosn't need much training like Arya who just needs to be told the Riders secrets. I think Eragon get a few more months of training in.

Roran is more suited more than anyone.

Why is he the most suited, he knows nothing of magic and little of dragons. Arya on the other hand is an expert magition and is edutated in many things. She also, in my opinion, has something for Eragon secretly which explains a way that Saphira will get her mate.

But I don't agree with those reasons, they don't seem worthy for dragonrider. I don't think a dragonrider should know about magic and all that other stuff at first becoming one, I think he/she needs to be taught to get the full view, becasue if you already know this stuff then you're like not gettting the dragonrider story upfront.

But where are they going to get the time to train a rider from scrach.

Maybe CP can skim through the months of Roran being a rider and then at the end of the six months Roran will be a true dragonrider but not before Eragon.

Becasue they are both tired. I think they'd lose if they went head on without a rider. There are two with Galby, and none on the Varden's side if he goes to training.

I think his weakness is his mock conection with his dragon. That is what I would atack.

Use a spell of some sort to release Shruikan from Galby taking away alot of his power.

I think the past souls of the Riders will enter him and strengthen him and thier dragon will strengthen Saphira.

I think that'll give him way too much power. Just Brom and the first Eragon will do.

OHHHHH!!! Maybe Eragon couldn't finish his training because Oromis dies, so he goes to the Vault of Souls and Oromis gives him great power or he teaches him the rest!!!
