well nobody likes to think of it (except me. lol), but one of the important characters will probably die in book 4, because one has died in every other book in the cycle. so excluding galbatorix, who do you think it will be? you can choose up to 3

Orrin and the Queen as unnecessary, and Murtagh/Thorn will die fighting Eragon. Maybe Orik because that would be a little more surprising.
(But not something impossible like Arya dying)

yeah, i don't like orrin or islanzadi anyway. murtagh and thorn just need to die. and i like orik dying too. a little emotional bonus. lol. but i just want arya to die so eragon will stop being an idiot around her

I firmly believe that MUrtagh will die a hero's death...Galby will most likely kill him while he is saving eragon again and thorn will live...

Oddly enough, I actually think I agree with that. I believe that Murtagh will get his name to change, either he will join Eragon, or not (I am not sure). Thorn probably won't die for two reasons- 1) Every dragon is rather important at this point (I still expect that Shrukin will die), and 2) Thorn is rather innocent at this point. He hatched into a bad situation, and he has done the best he could in it. Besides, he hasn't done that much bad stuff (I feel sorry for Murtagh too, but he did kill Hrothgar). As far as I know Thorn hasn't killed anyone other than Glaedr, and he was trying to kill him first (We actually dont even know that Thorn killed him, it is possible that Galbatorix did that through Murtagh, all we know is that he felt a sharp pain at the base of his skull)

That is true, the CP said very clearly that was just the movie. In Brisingr it talks a lot about dragons (sometimes Eldunari, but they are very clearly still alive) recovering from their riders deaths.

but i thought i heard it in the book too...guess not. but shruikan survived because he was hatched magically. he never had a rider. which makes me question if galby wants riders for his eggs so much, why not just hatch them magically again?

Yes he did have a rider. The book says that Galby stole a hatchling (I think)...read it. And you cant hatch them magically because there is a spell on them that is immpossible to break...

Well, in every battle there will be sacrifices and I'm guessing that most of those people will die. If Murtagh and Thorn don't die (by some miricle) they will be severly affected in some way. I really think that Islanzadi will die though

yeah, and maybe that way arya will be to heartbroken and eragon will ahve something affecting him and he'll leave forever

but if u killed a main character the book wouldnt work. there would be no point in reading it if the main character or characters in this case because a book always has the main and side, side characters can be killed of but it dosent work with the main characters

it can still work. there's a lot of books that kill the main charrys (like my book. lol)

its okay sometimes when they kill off a main but it kinda sucks when they kill off the main on my opinain though.

yeah, it does suck but sometimes it makes it better because you remember the book more and it also more emotionally touches you then if everything ended all happy-happy

I believe that a number of characters will die. Naturally, I believe that Galbatorix will die, but whethere or not Shruikan will I'm not for certain. Murtagh and Thorn will die. As stated before, this would solve a lot of problems, but I believe that they will turn good before their deaths. I also believe that Islanzadi will die, causing Arya to go into grief. She would want to leave Alagaeisa forever and forget all her horrible memories.
