If there was an arrow flying twards Arya, Saphira, Orik, Nasuada, and Roran and Eragon only had enough time to save one of them (taking the arrow himself) and everyone else were to get hit, and die, then who do you think he would save? Who? . . . who? . . . WHO? . . .!

As much as it would be hard for him, I think he would save Saphira, because they r linked, and she has been through everything with him. But I think it would be hard because he loves Arya, Orik is like his best friend, Nasuada is the leader of the Varden and must be protected, and Roran is his cousin and it's Eragon's fault he was there in the first place! IT would be a horrible decision to make . . . but he would probably save Sasphira.
He would be devestated without her, like Brom once said.

It would b a big trap, and it probably won't happen (it would b messed up if it did) but like I said, the point is who would he save if everyone else dear to him were about 2 die? Sad 2 think about huh?

I thought of the fact that if Eragon dies saphira would, but if he didnt save her i dont think he could have lived with himself. Since sofar everybody has voted for saphira, were not really getting the point of the poll. What would you guys say other than saphira? Id vote Roran, considering hes the only one in his family.

I'd say that if he could he would save both Roran and Arya. Roran because as you said he is family, and Arya because he loves her.

I did notice you didn't add Murtagh to the list. He is Eragon's brother after all.

TRue, but at the end of eldest he said he considered garrow and roran his family, not morzan and murtagh.

i think he would save Nasuada because:

-Arya wouldnt want him to save her, not to mention she could probably save herself

-Saphira he saves her and dies she dies

-Orik.... he wouldnt save orik because he isnt a big part of the story just a good friend and orik cant save the world by himself..

-Roran altho he is his cousin he wouldnt save Roran because Roran probably cant save anyone....

-Nasuada is in control of the varden and is very close to defeating Galbatorix... and runing doesnt seem like Eragon.

tho Eragon is rash and follows his heart so he would probably mess up and save Arya... poor Eragon.. so much confusion, and tough desicions....

I think Nasuada isnt everything, the Varden would be good under his command too though. But he would save sapira over Aryya, assuming he wouldnt die when he saved them.

earlier on in the topic they said that he would die saving them (Taking the aroow himself) and if he died saphira dies so no matter what saphira is going to die... and if he saved Arya she would be overly confused and be no help, and if he saved Nasuada the Varden might stand a chance, he wouldn't be able to take Nasuada's place if he is dead, and if Nasuada dies the council takes over!!!

You would have to be in a really weird situation if that was going to happen... I think the Varden would elect Jormudor. But Eragon couldnt live with himself really if Saphira was dead.

i agree that they would choose jormundor, but unless eragon runs away (Which he wont) hes going to die and there for not going to be mad at himself for not saving saphira.....

Jormunder would be thought a better leader by the elves and the rest of the varden, so they would choose him. The council might not be to happy about it though.

if eragon were to sacrafice himself i think he woud save saphira first then arya if they were in trouble.

off topic: if eragn did die that does not necessarilly mean saphira would, the whole thing about "if a rider dies so does his dragon" was another mistake that the movie made, in the book it says that if one dies the other usually does, but not always
