As far as I know it should be some kind of extreme walking throught city-like jumping on the roofs
I live in very small town where is impossible to do something like parkour.

Le Parkour (also called Parkour, PK, l'art du déplacement, free-running) is a physical discipline of French origin. It is an art form of human movement, focusing on uninterrupted, efficient forward motion over, under, around and through obstacles (both man-made and natural) in one's environment.

This is the defination from Wikipedia.

Ah, yes. Parkour. My friend Carlton is into it. He has horrendous knees, and constantly needs surgery, but does he stop? of course not. Lets see what higher things he can jump off of. Its intriguing sport, yes, but people should recognize their limits. People with absolutely no athletic ability think they can start jumping off of staircases and then start hurting themselves.

Normally, sports have a lesson or skill to be learn that can be applied in regular situations. Whether teamwork, discipline, patience, analyzation, etc. However, I fail to see what you gain from participating except, an extreme amount of pain, a high medical bill and a deep comprehension of gravity and its effects...

Anyone see any postives?

Not everyone that trys moves that are in parkour are into parkour. Anyway my and my friends do train, so far no one I know has been hurt. Noel you are saying that all we do is hurt ourselves. Some of us get hurt, doesn't happen in all sports. There's always a degree of risk.

Dawn Warrior, I was not implying that all you do is get hurt, and it is true, that most sports have a degree of risk. But when dealing with sports, even contact sports, the likelihood of injury isn't nearly as high as it is in Parkour. and trying out the moves, is cool, though. As long as you recognize your limits.

I'm intrigued, however, how you could "try out the moves" and "train" but not be into Parkour. and someone has yet to mention any positive effects...

Can be, one of the best things about parkour is at the moment they are really no actual moves. That means about anything you do is parkour, not some failed move.

Hey, if I could do parkour well, I would show off! I don't normally show off, but when you can do something impressive, why keep it to yourself?
