Hi you all ... can any1 Plz plz help me to understand who eldest is!! i read the 2 books!! but in the 2nd one there was no mention whatsoever about a Dragon or a rider with this name?!! .. lol did i miss anything or didnt understand it clearly!!? .. could any1 help me understand plz

Eldest doesn't truly mean that there is somebody's name who is Eldest like Eragon. It means that there is a person older than Eragon, I believe this is what it means, such as Murtagh. I think that's what it means. That Murtagh is the older of the two Dragonriders so they called it Eldest?

i read some interview with cp and this was a question.. i dont remember exactly what he said but he said thateldest had to do with Murtagh learning some of the ways of the rider so fast and had to do with ormis and glaedr

Eldest is the name of the booka as it refers to Eragon n Murtagh....n rite at the end of the book wen Murtagh tells Eragon that they r brothers n takes away Zar'roc....he is the oldest.... the 'ELDEST' inherits everythingt hat belongs to the father.....

The book is named Eldist because Murtagh is beleved (by who herd Eragons summery of the happenings during his fight with Him) to be Eragon Big Brother and the fact that there are alot of people who are older than Eragon, for exsample Arya, Oromis, Roran, and Nasuada these are only a few exsamples
