 SloanWell Eragon did restore his vision, but won't that motivate him to talk to Katrina all the more? Eventually he could change is true name, thus becoming free and creating conflict between him and Roran. He might do anything to get back at him.

Re: Sloan Eragon didn't tell him that if his true name changes then he won't be bound by his oaths anymore. I doubt he would even know that his true name had even changed, if it ever did.

Re: Sloan Yeah, I don't see sloan as a major plot line waiting to happen, he just is too broken and angry. He seems too focused on his misery to try to break free of his bonds.

Re: Sloan I just think that it would be hard to develop him into a character that someone could like... I mean, he murdered a fellow villager in carvahall to betray them all to the Ra'zac, and now is a broken man because he cannot speak to his daughter. I just don't see a good plotline arising from that.

Re: Sloan Okay. Eragon told Sloan not to do it. He just changed Sloan's life (again) by restoring his vision. Sloan is at Eragon's mercy. He will not go against his master.
There will not be any major plot lines with Sloan again. He very well may be mentioned, even visited, but nothin more than a chapter or two. |

Re: Sloan It looks like CP was just kind of leaving him with some sort of inner peace in Inheritance, I can't see Sloan getting much time in any new stories but then again he might change for the better and do some good
