A league outside of Teirm, trapped against a large, steep hill is Carsaib. His unsheathed sword glitering in the pale moon light, seven Urgal surround him. They appear to be taunting the efforts of one so young. They are in for a suprise thought Carsaib. The Urgals move forward, with a flash of his sword he deftly knocked one of the Urgal's sword then slashed it across the chest. It howled and fell to the ground, the rest charged him, he blocked their attacks with outstanding presision.With a stab he caught one in the throat, another swipe hacked one in the neck. Blood spurted over him, two of the Urgals wavered then moved forward, Carsaib lept back, strung and loosed an arrow into one's torso. With only three Urgals left Carsaib, had almost won, he engaged one in combat while the other two stayed back. A crossbow was fires, he heard the arrow pierce a tree a few feet away. His attention turned to the bow bearing Urgal, he nocked an arrow took aim then, a blow to the head sent him sprawling on the ground. His sword flew away into the darkness then his bow broke with a crunch underneath his weight. The Urgal moved closer mace raised in malice then...

Vali lept forward. She had been watching in the shadows. She hadn't appeared before now because it had seemed like the boy was winning, and Vali did not let herself be seen unless it was necessary.
She blocked the urgal's mace with her sword, and with a swift movement, she thrust her sword forward. The urgal fell onto his back. Vali knocked his mace aside and stabbed him in the chest. He screamed and then went still.
Vali turned around and offered a hand to the boy laying on the ground.

He leapt up and wordlessly thanked her and span around to block an attack then mercilessly killing them. To anybody looking on they would think these people had trained together to fight in such a way but they didnt even know each other. Carsaib then blocked an urgal for Vali while she did the same then the span around to dispatch their own Urgal. A few more rushed in with crossbows and swords, a knife thrw from Carsaib took a crossbow-urgal down clutching his neck.

OOC- Keep fighting?

Glad for the boys quick recovery, Vali drove her sword into the chest of an urgal and then picked up the dead urgals crude sword and flung it at another one.

OOC - Sure

Mist frowned. She had dark black hair and bright green eyes. She had a arrow and bow and wore black pants and black shirt. She frowened and wacthed. She was a dragon rider. One of those that had kept themselves hidden away. Xeon, about as tall as a tree,pitch black and bright golden eyes, spikes running down his back and to his tail. Xeon said,~We should help them.~ Mist frowned and answered, ~No. They can't see us.~[/b]

Xa-kull stepped forward. He would not lose to thse people, he would show them that urgals were not so easily disposed of. Garbed in shining copper armour and weilding a thick powerful blade, he flung himself at a human guard, and sliced his body ,through a slit where the guards mailshirt and metal belt was almost touching the edge of the mail, into two halves. The two parts of the corpse were not very far apart from each other, and you could see that the blade had frightningly sweeped cleanly and neatly straight under the belly.

Xa-kull crept on. He had heard rumours of a Dragon-egg in the possession of a smoall group of people, and he was determined that the egg would hatch for him. Amazingly, he suddenly stumbled upon a small group and bandits, and they were holding a bright emerald couloured stone. No prizes for guessing what the stone was!
Xa-kull could not believe his luck. He grinned, exposing his sharp, yellowed teeth, and brought the blade down on the first bandits neck. The decapitated trunk fell of the still standing body and rolled on the ground. The body slowly slid to its knees, and collapsed on the ground. The rest of the bandits screamed and ran off, leaving the stone behind. Xa-kull picked up the dragon-stone, and walked off. He did not notice a Great black dragon and a female rider secretly watching him from a great height. The rider did not follow him. Instead she turned around and stalked off, with the dragon following.
Xa-kull walked north, where the secret urgal hideout was. There, he would hatch and train his dragon. he would call it.......Mac'abre. He smiled to himself. It would fit. His sword "Gan'zil" was also a dark name. It meant "horror". It was cool being a dark character.

But in the darkness Oomar kept pace with Xa-kull on Fundor, his dragon, to make his secret hidout not so secret!

Zarec' sat inside the Urgal hideout in deep meditation. He worked hard to maintain his barrier around it and keep his stringth up. He watched over Xa-Kull as he came back from his important mission. The crazy Uragl had decided to go on a mission that scared most of the others. He, like most Uragls would be, was unaware of what folowed him, although, Zarec' doubted an Elf would have heard the stealthy dragon and its rider.

Zarec' waited untill Xa-Kull was almost at the entrance to the hideout, then with all his force, stabbed at the minds of the dragon and its rider, hoping to stall them long enough fro Xa- Kull to get within his barrier...

OOC- before anyone posts anything, is Zarec properly trained with your mind or did i recieve the better training than the urgal?

OOC: In his description it says he is a trained shamam or Urgal wizard, not nearly as strong magicaly as Elfs, but almost as much strength to keep it going for a long time. He also has a spirit bear called Hetsui that helps him use his magic and somewhat protect him from mental control. In other words he's stronger than the average human wizard and trying to crack into his mind would takea very long time, but he cannot stand up to Dragon Rider magic.

Oomar suddenly felt a presence stab at his mind. He new it was not trained as good as his but he still had an amount of effort to block his mind from him. He then told Fundor to keep and eye on the urgal. Then with all his strength he attacked the other conscience, hoping he could get rid of the person.

Zarec' withdrew as soon as he felt the rider aknowledge his attack, knowing he could not keep up the barrier and fight him at the same time. He had Hetsui bite his spectral jaws down on the lines of magic that lead to his mind. He had lost sight of Xa-Kull, meaning he was inside the barrier, or dead.

OOC- this is tough.....

Oomar was surprised to find that the conscience mantained a perfect barrier while something was disconnecting him frm the concience. So he did all he could keep attacking at the concience and try to kill the urgal with the egg at the same time.... didn't sound easy, but he had to try. Unfortunatley the urgal had disappered, Fundor said she knew where it's hideout was and would show later. Then Oomar decieded that he should find the ugals intensions, so in the ancient language he said, "I am a rider and a potential friend, i don't want to hurt you." then he ceased attacking and put a barrier around his mind just enough to be safe and waited.

Zarec' was relieved a little, it would do good know the Riders intentions. He muttered some word into the air and disappeared into a strong wind that swept through the hideout into the nearby forest, were it deposited him in a nearby tree. He summoned up a feirce wind and whispered to it in the Ancient laguage, and threw many strong smelling herbs into it to cover his scent. He sent it to the rRder and his dragon, the wind screaming his message as it whirled around them, "I am Zarek, what is your purpose here?"

OOC-Urgal Shamans control the elements like wind, earth, fire lightning ect...but cant do things like use one of those killing words, or magicaly unlock a door, stuff that can be done by other casters, he can set up wards around himself and other things though.

Oomar was rather surprised to hear a booming voice of the wind and said, " I have seen an Urgal stealing a Dragon Egg and we wish that it come to no harm and want it back, also we dont know why the urgaks would do such a thing. And you are an ural too, aren't you?" Then he waited.

Zarec' listened to the Rider speak, the concern was legitimate, they did steal an egg of a dragon, but the reason they did it was just as good. He whispered to the wind again and sent it to deliver its message "We Urgals shall not risk having another dragon be twisted by the words of humans and elves, and we will never again allow a Rider to exist who seeks to destroy us as the Mad King did. We shall raise this dragon and its rider to defend our people and destroy our enemies. We seek to cause no more harm than is intended to be done to us."

Truthfully, Zarec' could not predict what Xa-Kull planned to do after his dragon hatched, but he trusted him to make sure his people were never again hunted down or made in mind slaves as they were now.

Oomar was rather shocked because he thought that they wanted to steal it just.... Because!!! So he said," you have legitimate concerns, but as you should know... the egg will not hatch for you. Also, if it did we would force you to choose between life as a rider with us, or death."

Zarek' decided to end his deception, he lept high into the air and dissapeared into the winds, having a small tornado deposit him a short distance in front of the rider. "If you are with the Empire, you will fight nothing but pain and death here. If you are an enemy of our enemy, we will have further discussions."

Silently he summoned a storm so that he could not fly away and attack him from the air.

(MEANWHILE IN A CITY CALLED GREMDA)

Airathain was is his kitchen eating eggs and ale when sudenly his dad busted open the door.

"Son we have to fight for our city. The urgals have a new dragon egg and a soon to be rider. we must go."

"Wait what? That is crazy. We must have to have some kind of a plan to do this."

"well yes, yes we do. Its quite simp........"

(a soldior out side the door yelled) All boys/men 13 and up need to come to the barraks imediatly. We dont have a lot of time!"

Airathain and his dad ran into the long line of people waiting to go into the barraks. There where mixes of people most looked as if they where adults and some where just kids.

Airathain saw moms begging gaurds to let there kids stay, and kids trying to escape but fail.A tear rolled down Airathains cheek as he felt remorse for the familys.

"All this for some egg.....pfft"

Well since this is no longer an RP thread Im not gonna bother putting OOC. Whats with this "You suck" since Im the only one who replied im asuming this was aimed at me. This was the first place Ive ever RPed and there wasnt even a Mod to help me or anyone else with the rules. Oh well I dont RP here anymore anyways. Have fun insulting the people who TRIED to RP here with few to no rules. Now I RP at Werecat because it has clear rules and people willing to help those who are new at RPing instead of insulting the attempts made by people who dont know exactly what they are doing.

lol you should have seen it before I got here, there was one board for every single RP, I changed that...but this is not an Rp site, never had been.

the whole story seems confusing, what with people adding characters here and there. could you just state who they're supposed to be??
