Skills: Faerie Tongue. Ever since she spent her time in the village, Yssala has been able to speak to faeries and call them to her whenever she was in need. They would often help her escape from trouble that would have been too much for her to handle.
Magic and Martial Arts: She was taught at a young age that with strength must also come with wisdom. Yssala practiced seperate magic spells and at the same time all different kinds of fight moves. She learned the basics; healing and element conjuring (fire, earth, air, and water when she needed to use them for battle) for magic. For martial arts, she learned basic combat training from using karate to tai kwon do.

Character Personality: Yssala is an independent individual who has gone off by herself whenever she had gotten the chance. She is very bright, and enjoys discovering things. However, despite being bright and independent, she does not make friends easily. She does not speak at all in the presence of people she does not know, and will want to keep to herself if at all possible. Yssala, ever since leaving her village, she travels to help herself get better at fighting and using magic. Whenever she is in trouble, all she has to do is call onto the faeries and they rush in to help her. She is a person who would rather avoid trouble than fight her way out of it. As it is her nature, Yssala has a way with animals, since she is very kind and has studied the nature part of life instead of speaking to humans. Since she was young, Yssala had many animal friends that she spoke to, and was often laughed at by the other children in the village. She hadn't minded, for the faeries would accompany her to make her feel better. The faeries may be mischevious, but they saw something in Yssala that made her different than other humans. Yssala didn't stop from talking to the faeries. She talked to her animal friends, including a red-tailed hawk that seemed to watch over her since birth. She enjoys sight-seeing and swimming, feeling calm rather than angry.

Character's History: Yssala was born in a village near the Du Weldenvarden. Her parents had died in a raid by bandits and she was left in the care of Elixana, her grandmother who was also a mage. From the time Yssala could walk, her grandmother taught her all of the secrets nature had to offer, including the four elements. Once Yssala was ten, she had surpassed the very basic training of a mage and went on to higher levels. Her grandmother was impressed. However, the other village children saw her as an outsider, a freak. Only one person didn't think she was strange. It was a boy named Kume. He was her only friend that was human. They were close, and always stood up for each other. But as they grew up, Kume was called off to war when he was fifteen, and Yssala had not seen him again, to her devistation. Before that, however, once she learned how to control her powers, she found that she could talk to the faeries that lived in the forests and they could understand her. The faeries were alway considered a nuscience, but Yssala liked them all the same. Her grandmother told her tales on how the fair folk had their own magic hidden from even most mages. Yssala discovered their secret, and they taught her many things that not even Elixana did not know about. Yssala didn't tell Kume about this, for the faeries didn't seem to like the other humans very much. Once Kume had left, Yssala relied on her friendships with the animals and faeries that were just as kind to her as she was kind to them. One of the animals that stuck with her since she was young was a red-tailed hawk that warned her in case danger was coming. Once she reached sixteen, Yssala left the village with the fair folk following close behind as well as the hawk she had named Pheo. Throughout her travels, Yssala learned how to fight for self-defense, but rarely used it. At the present time, Yssala has reached Carvahall where she began to collect supplies, with her friends closely behind her.

Character's Physical Description: Yssala is about average height, 5' 6" tall, with long straight brown hair that has natural red tints in it, as well as a few blonde streaks. She has a lighter complextion with a narrow face and big green eyes. Her eyes are big, and the color of the irises are the color of tree tops in summer. They are often held with a greater wisdom than normal girls her age, as she is wiser beyond her years. She has a slender frame, though has a slight muscle build from her martial arts training. Yssala's legs are longer, which help her run faster from enemies. Her nose is turned up a little, and her ears are small. She likes to wear dresses that are simple and don't get caught on anything as she tends to go off exploring through the thick brush of the forest.

Weapons: Yssala carries a long dagger. It is made of iron and encrusted wtih small amethyst stones in the hand guard.

Likes: Nature, her friends, the moon and stars, learning, using her magic for good.

Dislikes: Cruelty, war, blood-shed

Dreams for Future: To meet with her friend Kume again

Reasons for Dreams: Yssala's only human friend, Kume had ever treated her like a human than an outsider. She feels that if he is still alive, Yssala wants to find him again and start having adventures again.
