There r so many good guys in the book. And they r all awesome! But if one of them had to die, who would u rather have it be? PLEASE leave a message explaining why!!!!

I chose Nasuada, because we can't afford Eragon and Saphira 2 die, becaues we need them 2 fight the Empire; we need Oromis and Glaedr 2 teach them; if Arya died that would devestate Eragon; we need Roran 2 live cause he needs 2 save Katrina; I want Orik 2 live cause he is one of Eragon's best buddies, and foster brother. . . so that leaces Nasuada, and yeah, it would be sad if she died, but she said Eragon would take her place, and there is no spesific reason we need her otherwise. But it would still be sad.

Oromis and Glaedr are already, so them. But second would be Roran because he is, frankly, a waste of paper.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but in the second book I hated how it kept getting split up between him and Eragon. After a while, I started skipping his parts because I did not care.

I think that Oromis and Gladr are going to end up being killed at the end of the book by the King and his dragon.

I choose Nausada because theres nothing that can not be done without her. the other charaters are all important to Eragon, Nausada is but i think Murtagh will end up killing her against his own free will

I pick oromis too but roran is no waste of paper. he is a well written character with his own problems and adventures. he is also what keeps eragon going straight since they are like brothers. if he didn't exist eragon would follow his real brother murtagh.

I don't think he's waste of paper either! He is an important character. And as for that one person who said he skipped Roran's parts, then how would they know what is going on when he meets up eith Eragon? Roran's parts were interesting too! Example: when Sloan found out that Katrina and Roran were engaged; when Katrina was captured; when Roran saw the face of a Ra'zac; when we found out that Sloan betrayed them all etc.

Not to mention that if it were not for Roran Eragon would not have met the Ra'zac in time to do much about it, because Eragon went into town that day because of Roran. So HA! LOL

They meet up, fight the bad guys, and win. Doesn't take much figuring for that. Nothing important really happened anyways.

Yes, but it wouldn't be as centimental. You wouldn't know why they were fighting, or what they had gone through to get up to this point. Plus it might give you some important information! It just wouldn't make sense!

But what did Roran add to the story besides some more detail. The Inheritence series is about Eragon, not Roran, and Roran got almost as much time as Eragon in the last book.

he just doesn't bring only details. He gives Eragon motive and a sence of duty. He gives courage to the villagers and set events on motion. He is also the one who killed the twins and allowed the varden to win the battle.He has turned into a fearless worrior who in the next books will play a very important part.

Roran is awesome, he is not a waste of paper. he gives Eragon a purpose at the end of Eldest otherwise i think Eragon would have a break down about who his father is.....

If Paolini wanted to tell us about this staff he would. He will reveal more about magic mostly in his next books and only when he thinks that it will support the plot.
Eragon might be the star of the book but he can not be the only one in it. He needs characters who will teach him, help him, fight with him and help him become the man he is supposed to be. He needs experiences and background and Roran offers that.

So I don't care if you like him or not, if Paolini thinks that Eragon needs him he must have plans for him and in the next book it will be more obvious.

What is he missing. He is an active character and a fighter. Not being a rider and not having magic powers make him more worthy. Plus he has a more romantic story with Katrina. He is going trough hell to get her back. So what do you think he is lacking?

The only character I want to die is Galbatorix and no one else.

i think if anyone should die it shouldbe Nausada, Roran is needed by Eragon, however Nausada is indispensable, Eragon can become the leader of the Varden or hand it over to someone else....

To be completely honest, I could care less who dies as long as it is not Saphira. She is my most favorite character in the story, and I'd cry for days if something happened to her. We all know Oromis is going to die, so it's pointless to choose him or Gleadr. Eragon can't die because that would cause the death of Saphira. Other than those, It doesn't really matter to me.

Someone will die and not just Oromis and his dragon. Others will die too. Just pray that cp won't decide to split Eragon and Saphira and kill one of them.

That could only happen if Saphira died because a dragon dies when their Rider dies. And Eragon's fortune said he wouldn't die for a very long time or possibly ever.

But I agree. Someone else HAS to die besides Oromis and Glaedr, or else the book would be boring. But CP better not kill Saphira!!! Or else I will kill him! I know where he lives. It says in the back of the book. But I WILL kill him if he kills Saphira!!! ):<

aslong as Saphira and Eragon dont die then its ok but i still think that if anyone had to die Nusada should be the one as i do not like her character very much.......

Saphira could still die. A dragon can die and his rider can survive like Brom did. But I agree with you if cp kills one of them he would deserve a worse fate.

I don't understand how they are going to become good. Galbatorix seems to have them pretty well enslaved, but I guess if he dies...
Saphira dying doesn't make sense, unless it is at the very end of the fourth book, maybe.
Nasuda will live for a while at least because CP needs a character to lead the Varden.

I say Glaedr only becuse he ls in my opinion the most disposable. because Oromis in an indirect way can teach Saphira anything she was not tought before.

It's not really about who u thimk WILL die, but u would RATHER HAVE die.

I truly want Roran and Katrina to die actualy and they probaly will in the 3rd book. They don't really fit in the plot that well. Katrina is not really anything special, a human, lover of Roran, daughter of butcher...
I think that Roran will get killed in razac home and saphira will fly away to safty with eragon

Well, Eragon got transformed into a semi-Elf, right? He now has some elvish qualities.

I don't think it's possible. Now that we're half way through the series, there is no other logical character that he could fall in love with. I just can't see it happening.

i think that nasuada will die first then before the end another will die.

to support this theory:
1.in eragon, eragon's uncle died then brom died
2.in eldest ajihad died then the twins die.

there are 2 major deaths in a book so thats why i came up with this theory

I never noticed the two major deaths per book. Couldn't it be glaedr and oromis.

if Galby dies there won't be a point in the 4th book................. unless Murtagh or somrone (bad) kills him and takes the throne for himself

Ahh but if Murtagh killed Galby then it wouldn't be any better really, Murtagh for all we know could do a worse job than Galby at being king.

oromis and glaedr are the nice safe logical choices to die but CP might want to mix it up; theres not many things as compelling as a beloved char dying. (my name for any steven erikson fans) also whats all this about roran being boring; he is balls out. i think his story is interesting, what happens when a man loses everything and snaps. i love the description of him looking at his gaunt reflection and liking his appearance. also i believe he will come to be an important figure, CP said a couple of times that the blood of kings flows in Palancar Valley. so there you go a little longwinded but thats my opinion. i think it would be cool to kill off arya or orik or even roran but at the same time it would piss me off; isnt that what makes a good story?

I'd say? Either Oromis/Glaedr or Nasuada. Uh...Oromis because he's kinda getting old and everything, and Nasuada because...IDK! I honestly don't know why. She was just the least important one out of the list.

Yes I agree I do like Orik so I didn't say him. Nuasuada isn't one of my favorites so I have to say her. Though I don't really want anyone to die unless it's Galbatorix
