OOC: Anyone is free to join as long as they use their evil characters or characters who have changed their alignment. The good characters will come later.

The air was thin, and the breathing of creatures darker than night was far too audible. It was dark aside from the spot of light entering from the cave entrance, but it seemed to stop dead several feet in. Nilarek liked the spell, simple as it was. He loved the darkness and the evil that lives within it. His own eyes could see everything around him, the table that sat in the middle of the large room with several humans still alive and struggling. He had rounded them up beforehand and created the cave to hold the meeting of the darkness. He wondered how many would show and how much defence he would need. While there is no one being than can match my power, he thought I still need to be careful as all of them as one can destroy me. He prepared some defences and then sat in his respective chair. It was a square table with all sides the same length and chairs for those he thought would come. A shade blocked the light at the beginning of the tunnel for a moment then walked in.
"Come brother and be not afraid, if I wanted to destroy you I would have done it already."
Even in the perfect darkness of the cave Nilarek could still see the shade's face clearly. It looked amused. "I doubt you could in your current form."
"Don't ever say that again or I will destroy you."
The shade opened his mouth to say something extra but was cut off by Nilarek.
"Now is not the time to fight either way, we are gathered here in secret to discuss what we are going to do about those who seek to destroy us. We must wait for the others though."
"This better not be a waste of my time or I swear I will lay waste to your spirits."
Nilarek wanted to say more but held his tongue as he knew if he aggrevated this shade then he would have to kill him. He indicated to the humans on the table and said, "Enjoy the feast."

I have questions, and plenty of them. You never stated how you intend to seperate Phalynx and Faefnir, and how to keep Faefnir from coming in through the top. Also, how did you gather the draconian armies? They were all destroyed after the War, or at the very least scattered and confused. Unless you managed to find a new horde, or used this so called "re-animation" ability, which should be impossible to any magician, I do not see how you gathered a new draconian army. Rimfax was growing ever more confused and irritated by all the loose ends the Shade was leaving, and he still did not know of his part in Nilarek's plan. He decided to put that out there. Also, how exactly am I going to play in this? And wouldn't it be smart to muster more people?

OOC: Take the hint. We need to go through the accepted lists and PM all the people with evil characters and invite them.

OOC: Done, till they reply have this. Also if you're wondering I am making most of this up on the fly, hence why most of it is quite open-ended.

"Well, as much as I hate saying I shall repeat myself. I have reached the limits of my own powers and no matter how much more I take from other shades or wandering spirits I cannot tap into that energy as the portal to the power and here is limited. That means the amount of power I can summon up at one time is also limited and I cannot cast this spell by myself. I need yours to accomplish my goal, in fact I may need more than both of us." Nilarek said, taking Rimfax's words into account. As for that annoying Gold dragon and his pathetic little sister I have finally healed my pet shadow dragon, I think you may enjoy his company." Nilarek smiled. "I'd say his name but his name is one that cannot be uttered by any mortal mouth. I've even increased his strength since last time and now that he knows Faefnir's fighting technique he will be even greater. He will keep Faefnir distracted whilst I corrupt her mind and leave her begging for mercy within her own mind. Then after we're done I'll offer her the chance to serve me, she could be a very valuable servant.
As for the Draconians, they are more organised than many think. I rallied them under my flag and promised them a new home where they could live in peace, secluded from the world, in darkness and more importantly, where they could fly without anyone caring. Not that they fly too well anyway. All I said was they had to take it from a small group of Dwarves, I told them about how their army had left the mountain and they had but a few guards left. They were all too eager. As for my abillity to reanimate the dead corpses, I'll keep that to myself." He didn't want to reveal the fact that he would be using the spirits he had gather over the course of his time here to move them, essentially turning them into temporary shades.

Kuja appeared behind Nilarek from a portal. He walked out as it closed behind him. "Excuse me for being late, I had to deal with that senile old fool as a king." He grabbed an open chair as he picked up the conversation that was going on.
Towards Nilarek finishing explaining his plan to deal with Faefnir, Kuja stepped in saying, "Distract him? Let's up the ante on that one, how bout kill?"
Everyone else looked at him in almost an outrage, a shade yelled out, "You think you are so great Kuja! Go kill him yourself if you can!"
"Silence, I did not mean me. I may be better than the average shade but my power is merely a fraction of that accursed dragon." The shade sat back down mumbling to himself.
"For years I have studied the realm of the Hadarac, hoping to find some way to seige that fortress. During my observations I came across a great cave. However I was unable to enter it, it was sealed by the elves and dragons right after the war. Now the interesting thing is that there is no record or scroll speaking of it. I could sense great malice and hate within. So, anyone care to enlighten me on this why such a terrible thing was locked away and never spoken of? I am sure however, only some one as old as the seal itself would know of it's existance." He gazed over to Rimfax with a blank stare.

OOC: If you dont know what I'm talking about, look at my new dragon character I am trying to make, hopefully he should be accepted without worrying about him.

OOC: Doesnt look like anyone else is joining so I believe its your go Aeraldi.
Plus whats the order? seems kinda jumbled atm.

OOC: Sigh, excuse my impatience but would one of you just post? Getting slightly annoyed that when I log on and see a reply on an RP topic that contributes nothing to the story is such a let down.

Rimfax snorted and brushed Nilarek's side with his tail. Watch your words and thoughts, Shade. They will gain knowledge of it through either telepathy or your body language. I suggest you be more careful.

Kuja watched Nilarek curiously, so...hes found a way around that. Interesting...
Kuja turned his head to the direction of west...towards the Hadarc desert. He thought to himself, whatever is in that cave....it's almost out. Watever it is...I wonder if we could use it or it will rampage on us all.



Bahamut dug his claws into the seal, in turn the seal began to burn through his body. His scales were much thicker than normal dragons but if held it in much longer it would eat away at his flesh.
With one final great effort he ripped it wide open and the seal collapsed. Now that it was gone he could feel his powers return to him that were supressed for so long. Backing up into the middle of the cave and looked upward at the ceiling. He opened his giant maw and a giant pillar flaming energy burst out. It ripped through the ceiling and went outside...scorching the sky.
Bahamut launched himself into flight, escaping his dark prison. He hovered over the giant hole and gazed upon the land.

IC: Rauthr had been sitting in the shadows nearby for quite some time now. She knew that even the youngest of the shades among them would be able to sense her presence. It... amused her, that as yet, nothing had been said of their strange visitor.

She chuckled to herself and fiddled with her crossbow in the darkness, reveling in the glorious feelings of distrust that surrounded her. Feeding off of them.

She decided that it was probably about time to announce her presence, and she stepped out into the open, crossbow and tetsubo in hand.
She threw them both to one side.

She would have no need of her weapons here. Not yet.

OOC: Time to show the true nature I made my dragon for....hehahaha!

Bahamut began to fly west, he had alot of supressed anger built up and he wanted to find something to take it out on. After a few hours he began reaching the edges of the Beors.
He searched the land for any signs of life. It didnt take him long, in many areas of the mountains life poured out. Bahamut snorted, I smell the short legs....how..gratifying.

Bahamut asceneded into the air even higher then he took a large dive into a large mountain. It was hollowed out by the dwarves so it wasnt very thick. He smashed through with his giant horns and he landed in a stone plaza roaring out.
In shock dwarves began running all over. Bahamut began launching fireballs everywhere. Not much later, dwarven soldiers began showing up.
Bahamut chuckled to himself, How futile...
He charged at them, smashing at them, grabbing them then tossing them. Occasionally instead of throwing them he bit off their heads or half of their body to satisfy his hunger.
Any remaining dwarves scattered and hid themselves.
Bah... the short legs are so boring. I need something more challenging..
Bahamut expanded his wings and took flight. He smashed out another side of the mountain wall. He flew high above the mountain he just invaded and gazed down. Bahamut opened his giant maw, fire swirled and built up. After a long period of time he released its wrath in a giant pillar of fire energy. It made contact with the mountain, it tore through it and expanded outward. After the pillar dissapated and the smoke cleared, once a mountain was now a crater of molten rock.

Bahamut gazed at the aftermath, Perhaps I shouldnt waste that attack on such weak prey.... I can do it only so often...and takes much of my strength.

He quickly turned his head further east sensing more powerful beings. Mmmm, I sense many dark walkers... and those of my kind. Finally... something that will entertain me more.
He flew much deeper into the Beors. He came across a very large mountain surrounded by mist. Trying to conceal themselves are they?


Kuja lifted up his head and turned it slightly. "We have a visitor." he said aloud.

Crimson looked at the new arrivles. He said to himself and Frazer Good more have arrrived. Our hunt for Equinox and the golden bag of scales could be over soon. Crimson said.

OOC: Sorry short post.

OOC: Silverwolf it's your turn, I wanna get this one finished.

I think we can skip Silverwolf for at least one cycle. But then we have to wait for Star and I know she hasnt been on lately. So if you are ok with skipping her as well it would be your go Aeraldi.

OOC: Hope you get it up soon. Also, I want to continue this into the next step so whoever has a problem about that tell me now.

Nilarek listened to his plan described by Rimfax and smiled. He then spoke up, finally ready to push his plan into motion. "Very well, if everyone is up to speed and has no objections or questions then we shall move forward with our plans." He sent a small amount of energy to his minions hiding beneath the mountains and a few seconds later the one meant to recieve it stood up and turned to his bretheren.
"My fellow draconians! We fight soon!"

OOC: I'll take that as an invitation for us good people to join, then. Yay! (You know, I'm the only one out of the royal family that doesn't have a "dark side"... but with light as bright as Phalynx's, imagine how dark her shadow would be... heehee, creepy... lol )

IC: The silver light of the current brightest star in the sky suddenly shifted, and the star seemed to fall. Eventually, the characteristic shape of a dragon emerged as the silvery glow aproached the ground at blinding speed. Phalynx had sensed a great evil growing, greater than anything she had ever witnessed. She knew that she would be needed, as would many of her friends, to quell this darkness. She knew that she had to move, and fast, so she flew at top speed to the place she knew her friends would most likely be at, the Dragon Fortress.

Phal saw her half-brother and niece already leaving the mountain with her infrared vision, and flew immediately to join them. You have sensed the darkness too, no doubt. Let me guess: Rimfax plays a very large part in this? Phal greeted them, looking at Faefnir. She already knew the answer to her question though; Faefnir's "evil twin" was not one to miss out on such momentous occasions. Phal didn't want to think about what evil could be so great that she could sense it from far away. She didn't even have a link to whatever was going on, as most of the others did.

Crimson was pleased. Through his mind he contaced everyone under his mind control Get ready soon we have all those we wish for dead! through his mind they all cheered it was so loud in his mind it made Frazer stir.

Equinox woke up when he felt someone contact him. It was Faefnir, his master. Beside him, Eris, Quasar, and Throat Ripper woke up. They had also recieved the news.
"Should we go now?" asked Throat Ripper.
"Yes we must hurry. What ever my master was talking about is bad. Crimson and Frazer must be involved and through them... Galedrim." said Eris.
Yes, that traitor's flesh will rip under my claws. Quasar snarled.
"Your starting to sound like Frazer." Throat Ripper laughed.
I think his betrayol affected my mind.
Equinox looked over the land scap, he noticed several humans and elves all going in the same direction. Equinox was tempted to fight them, to take them out of their misury of being mind controled, but he had more important things to do.
Darkness is in the air... I can feel it... Equinox said.
Yes, I know something odd is going on. What it is, I do not know. Quasar replied.

OOC: It's Silver's turn, unless we want to skip her again. She doesn't seem to be very active in the rps lately. In that case, it would be Star's turn.

Nilarek couldn't help but smile at the fact that so many had come together to cause an unknown amount of wanton destruction. His smile was ripped away at the explosion that tore through his cave. He ran out of the cave and looked up into the sky at his opponent, his face showing nothing but hatred. "No! Our plans will not be stopped by you or anyone else!" He screamed. When he looked again he saw something else, something familiar. "Draco." He murmured. He beast attacking looked just like a draconian, maybe even the founder of their race. He turned to the rest and said quickly, "Continue with the plan, I may have found another ally." With that Nilarek forced the shadows underneath him to lift him up to Bahamut's level, the power usage being enough to alert another being.

Keralin started up when he felt the power and a chill ran down his spine. Again!? He thought panicked. The message from Faefnir come a few seconds after that. Aelir looked at Keralin with a blank look.
We have to go now, don't we? Aelir said.
Yes, and this time we will not let him escape. Keralin said with finality.
Keralin gathered his armor and jumped onto Aelir's back, who took off a few moments after. Keralin donned his armor atop of Aelir and prepared himself for the spell he would cast to finally seal the demon known as Nilarek.

Aeraldi heard the call of Faefnir and, searching out, found out why. It is time.
Aeraldi woke from the embrace of his sleep, from hovering in the back of their mind. So it is, are you ready?
More than I have been in a long time, these evil beings will die by my claw tonight.
We need as much time as we can get, and I don't know how long I can stand being you.
It will be fine. We will find the strength when it is needed.

Nilarek took a few memories from the strange dragon, just to learn it's name. He also called to his minions down beneath the ground, asking several of them to surface. "Hold yourself Bahamut and hear me; you are not as alone as you think. I have decendants of you who take your appearance and who would even worship you if you asked. Behold, the Draconian race, oh dear Draco." Several Draconians appeared from the ground and took off towards Nilarek and Bahamut. The humanlike dragons circled Bahamut, watching as if it was some sort of illusion.
"Your people help us, so they can have a home which will allow them to stay out of the problems of the others and live in peace. Will you not help them have a home?" The words drifted from Nilarek's tongue with the diplomacy that Keralin had learned when dealing with extremely hostile situations. Nilarek almost smiled at the fact that he sounded quite alot like Keralin at that moment.

OOC: I can't think of anything. Pass turn.

Rimfax was barely fazed by the gigantic dragon's appearance. He just kept going as a beacon of shadow to the people on the ground.

Crimson saw the new dragon he was pleased to have more possible allies. "By slaves may be used by any of you how you see fit for now. I have enough they are quiet expendable.

Equinox, Quasar, Eris, and Throat Ripper arrived and saw the group. They wondered if it would be enough.

OOC: Sorry for the short post, I couldn't think of much.

Mesaraih thought about Phalynx's words. Fenirexes was thinking along the same lines: Reik was bound to be there. They had not met for quite some time, and during all that time a lot could have changed with him. If he was the same as before then Mesaraih was pretty sure he could defeat him, but who knew what new power he might have discovered now?

Reik continued looking at everything going on, leaning against the cave wall. He was getting slightly impatient to put the plan into action. Mesaraih would probably be coming, and he would be done with his task once and for all.

OOC- I think the bad guys should advance the plot now, before the good guys arrive and find them all just in a cave lol.

OOC: Looks like your turn, Aeraldi.

OOC: I know, everytime I get this going I get called off to do something else.

Nilarek laughed once at his fortune, he had turned a potential enemy into an ally against his foes. He could almost feel the darkness that burned within Bahamut and although he wanted to harness it and turn it to his goals he knew he didn't have time right now. He had a siege to put into motion.
I think I like this one, he has the same want for destruction that I do, if a bit supressed. Thought Nilarek. He shivered in anticipation and proceeded down to the ground again and walked to the back of his cave. He put his hands beside him like he was lifting something large and heavy and his muscles tensed with the magic he pushed through them. The entire back of the cave lifted like a large door revealing a huge chasm where the warriors of the Draconian nation prepared themselves for the battle ahead. Nilarek addressed all of them,
"You are not to harm these beings behind me as they are to help us, we also have another army of slaves coming to hold the prisoners so that you can continue to fight."
A roar of approval came from the crowd as they raised their weapons above them. Nilarek raised his hand and the Draconians lowered their cheers,
"Follow the passage, kill the Dwarven warriors, save the rest and be careful of our allies for if you cross them or me we will destroy you."
Nilarek swept his right hand across his the air in front of him and the magical barrier which kept the Draconian forces at bay and hidden was released. All the Draconians then rushed into the passage shouting their battle cries. Nilarek turned to the rest,
"We have a different route to take." He said while walking towards the draconian forces. He was glad that the cave was large enough for Bahamut, although he had no idea how he would do within the cave system. He turned to the right of the forces and indicated the opening which was opening just behind the Draconian forces.
"A small illusion for them." He said, walking towards the cave with confidence. "It takes us right into their main chamber as I've made an illusion there as well. It was a good thing that a more powerful wizard wasn't here otherwise it wouldn't have worked."

Keralin was prepared within the minute, and on Aelir the next. Aelir flew hard for the last place he felt the darkness that was Nilarek. It's almost a good thing that Nilarek is that powerful otherwise we would never know where he was. Aelir pointed out.
Keralin just sat there on Aelir's back not saying a word. There were no words for the situation.

Aeraldi flew towards Faefnir, knowing that he would have to combine his strength with his to make sure that this would be the last evil gathering in this world. How many Faefnir? How many forces are coming for our destruction? He asked.

OOC: Ok, I'm going to join. I just need some help I couldn't follow everyone's perspective, so you can tell me a list of who's good/evil and where each side is at the moment? Sorry, read most of it but couldn't follow along

Bahamut was becoming bored just laying on the ground. He hoped that whatever thes dark beings were going to do, it would be soon. Battle was boiling in his blood. Fighting itched in his scales...
He was restless, he wanted to use his strength...

OOC: Sure, remember that there are two factions now in this thread. One is the evil characters about to surface in Tronjheim and the good characters who are still on their own.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted here for awhile, I've stuff to do with school, I'll be more active now though.

IC: Crimson followed Nilarek and the others inside.

OOC: Sorry for the short post, I'm not really sure where we are right now. If know one minds, I'm just going to assume Equinox, Quasar, Throat Ripper, and Eris are with the good guys.

OOC: Ok, the fun begins.

The 'compaions' as it were finally arrived at a solid wall, one that had an enchantment. "We all know what needs to be done." Nilarek said, "Kill the warriors, leave the rest." With that Nilarek waved his hand in front of the wall making it disappear opening up to the great expanse of Farthen Dur and the mighty city of Tronjheim. Nilarek then waved his arms at the entrances of the city sending out small amounts of energy, activating the crystals above them. Several resounding explosions rocked the city as the entrances were sealed shut. Then Nilarek put his arms as if he was lifting something extremely heavy. A patch of rubble cleared then in the open fields, the dirt flying away and forming a large staircase. From the staircase came the mighty Draconian Army. Nilarek dropped down for a moment, tired.
"The rest is up to you." He said as he rested. "Now I must summon the mighty Shadow Dragon to protect us."
He added to Rimfax only through his mind, If it would please you, I can make it so you can inhabit his body. Making his power yours. It won't be too much power but you would have a body to rival Faefnir.

Aelir flew as hard as he could, Keralin holding on for dear life. The wind rushed by him and threatened to pull him off Aelir, he daren't put up wards to protect him from the air as he needed his power to fight Nilarek. Thank you Faefnir, I will do my best. Keralin said in response, the Beor Mountains were in sight now so he wouldn't have to hold on much longer.

Seven. Aeraldi repeated to himself. This will be hard, I do not know how we can manage. Even in our joined state. This will truly be life or death.
Do not panic, Aeraldi said, that is the first rule of combat. Keep your head and make sure that you keep an eye on each one of them, no matter if they are busy with another person.
Thank you, that will be in my mind. Aeraldi kept flying, he could see the Beor mountains now.

OOC: Behold, the #1 Saphira fans triumphant return to the RPG!

Rimfax grinned evilly as the wall disappeared and revealed the vast expanse of Farthen Dur. He roared mightily, then took off, using the shadows as often as he can to avoid arrows. He used destructive fire to kill, and to destroy, all that he saw. Then, he decided that it was time to have fun. The shadow dragon of Faefnir's soul unleashed his Shadow Breath. The dark mass of pure shadow and darkness came roaring out of his mouth and enveloping anything in its path transporting the soldiers caught within to the Shadow World, where they were then either torn apart or possessed by the evil forces lurking there. He heard Nilarek speak to him telepathically, offering him the use of the Shadow Dragon. Humph. You keep your Shadow Dragon. I'm having far too much fun with this. He chuckled maliciously, enjoying the screams of the warriors underneath.

Faefnir saw the evil companions enter the mountain and begin their slaughter. Keeping his cool, Faefnir addressed the heroes of Alagaesia. Everybody, be careful. I'm going to teleport us there. We're going to appear in the heat of battle, so get moving as soon as you can see again. Faefnir then began to mumble words in the dragon language that will allow them to teleport. As soon as he released the energy and regenerated it from the earth, the world of the companions went dark for a brief second. But as soon as it happened, they were in Farthen Dur. As he regained his sight, Faefnir roared as loud and powerfully as he can to not only announce their triumphant arrival, but to frighten the draconian hordes. Faefnir angled himself down and began to ice the draconians, immobolizing them.

Rimfax was angling up to catch a break from the battle when the heroes arrived to combat the villains. He saw Faefnir go down to attack the draconians. Rimfax roared loudly, then began to pursue the one being that was keeping him from true power and dominion over Alagaesia.

OOC: Whoo-hoo!! Welcome back ILS! Yay! lol

IC: Phalynx heard her brother's words. She stopped dead-still in the air, hovering. As she beat her wings steadily up and down, her scales began to glow even brighter, until to gaze upon them was blinding. She saw Faefnir form his portal as if in slow motion. Everyone was pulled into it almost instantaneously, but Phal delayed her entry for a few seconds. Finally, she allowed herself to enter the teleportation portal.

A radiant, starlike glow filled the entire expanse of Farthen Dur for a brief instant, blinding everyone in the hollowed crater. Then, it faded to a smaller, but still painfully bright glow. Phalynx had announced her arrival to virtually everyone, even if they didn't know what the light had meant. She surveyed the scene briefly before dashing immediately towards an section of Crimson's slaves.

Phal knew there were others who could handle the brunt of the killing work; her abilities would be needed specifically. She entered the minds of Crimson's best slave squadron and freed them all, purging their minds of his. She examined the magic attaching them to Crimson, and broke it with her powers. In the confusion of battle, he wouldn't notice them gone or be able to get them back.

Snorting in satisfaction, she raced over towards the boundaries of the approaching confrontation between Faefnir and Rimfax. She dove into the Shadow Breath the evil dragon had released, and cleared the remnants with her starfire. Faefnir would take care of the physical fight between himself and his dark side, but she could help those in Farthen Dur by clearing up the dark dragon's evil.
