Skills: Esther’s skill is not physical nor is it in magic. Her skill is the ability to sweep aside defenses of the mind, only she can enter when she does so, and tamper with the way of thinking of those around her. The way she can tamper is by changing personality trait of people or their point of view of something. Her tampering does not effect the true name of the target directly but it can indirectly.
Her mind is extremely powerful and none can enter without her willing it. If she desires she can also use her ability to take control of one’s body from inside their mind, much like how Rhunon had done with Eragon when forging his sword.
She has only altered the thinking of one person ever and that was Rien in which her reach went further than just the thought pattern and she affected his whole being. He was an extreme case that she could not replicate exactly.

Character Personality: Esther is a kind person. Even if someone were to beat her down continuously she would bear no hard feelings towards that person. But instead she would take pity upon that person and wish for a change in their life. She has a love for solitude more out of fear of those around her who would treat her bad because she is different. She has become more open sense she began traveling with Rien. She is a shy person and will let Rien do most of the “talking” unless someone is overly insistent and in most cases they aren’t after she “speaks” with them. She never gets angry though she may get agitated. One way to agitate her quickly is by lying and another is trying to scare her. For she can be easily startled so be wary for your own safety, she retaliates by accident when startled or scared. She is unsure of her power and will often underestimate herself but she will use it to defend Rien if he actually ever needs defending. She is not fond of fighting but finds it easier to deal with when there are no deaths. Often she is extremely flustered around men because they all seem to expect something from her(she is pretty =P). Because of her strange past she has had little experience with people and can be flustered easily, more easily by men. She has a great love for all animals and they seem to be attracted to her. She does not care much for cities but will stay in them because it pleases Rien. She loves all forests regardless of how big or small.

Character History: Esther was born in a small village east of Hedarth. She took after her father’s side of the family with an evident powerful mind. From an early age none could hide their thoughts from her and to many this was not bad but to some it was an unnatural curse. To make it worse she rarely spoke preferring to show people what she wanted to say then say it.
Her family was rich and owned much of the land along the river there. Though they were rich and owned the land they let others use it knowing that it was the only water supply for miles around. Even though they were generous many were jealous of Esther’s family’s position and that only made the suspicions toward the family grow.
When Esther turned 12 the whole town gathered to celebrate. It was like nothing that the village had ever done before. Esther’s parents were more than excited for they believed the villagers who had all been growing more and more resentful towards them were beginning to accept them. They were horribly wrong. The village had arranged a public execution of Esther’s parents forcing her to watch. She stared in silent horror as her parents were beheaded before her vary eyes.
The next months passed as if it wasn’t even there. She was vaguely aware of the men who would come take advantage of her and beat her. But it all mattered for not because she had no one in this world left for her.
One morning she had the urge to eat so she stole from the man who had taken her for his own entertainment. As punishment he tied the bound her and tied her to the ground. She was beat out in the middle of the village for all to see. When the man grew board, he walked away only to have another man kneel down in front of her. She didn’t recognize the man for he looked far nobler than any of the villagers. When he spoke the ancient language in a blessing over her something snapped in her mind. She didn’t want to stay there anymore. She wanted to leave. So quickly she grabbed a hold of the man. She dived straight into his mind which was like nothing she had ever seen before. For it was vast beyond belief. Trying not to be to surprised by the man’s mind she began her work by shifting the man’s persona slightly. She only tried to make a slight change in the man but ended up almost changing who he was. She watched in fear while he killed for her in a way. He asked for her name and she dug through painful memories until she found one of her mother saying her name as clear as day. He then called himself Rien and carried Esther off.
The years to follow were blissful for Esther. She learned al sorts of things that Rien could teach her. She attempted to learn magic but quickly learned she was not made for magic. The days passed in happiness but Esther knew that Rien’s comfort zone was in the city. So she offered to go into the city with Rien to appease him and make him who is like a father to her happy. And happy he became.

Character's Physical Description: Esther stands at 5’7” and has long blond hair with bright blue eyes. She has very fair white skin. She is extremely beautiful; some would go as far as to say her beauty is so stunning that she can stop a crowd. Many find that she looks like someone needs to protect her. She is not picky with her cloths but likes to wear whatever Rien gets for her. So she is normally found wearing finer cloths than she would pick herself. She is fragile and not athletic at all though she is tough. Her build is very slight and she weighs very little for her stature. She is normally smiling unless there is a good reason not to.
