Dsurion snarled at Violeta, You don't understand. Crimson only wishes to bring peace and order to Alagaesia! A few sacrifices are necessary! he himself wasn't even sure of that, but he let himself fight on against her. He snarled to himself, was he really doing the right thing? He shook his head, of course he was! He snarled when she sliced with his her claws. Bending the space around him he made himself come at her from behind. He stuck her in the side, but then did a low dip to dive away from her to avoid her claws.

Crimson snarled as Draerr sliced his with his dagger. He smirked, "You really think that will kill me? I am not a regular elf, my blood is stronger than theirs." he ran up to impale the elf in the chest, but was forced to jump to the side ad Equinox launched a lightning bolt down at him. Glaring with rage he launched a fire ball at him. Equinox dodged and Crimson snarled, "You can't win. This land will be mine! All of it." he smirked, "Even if Saphi does escape she is nothing if her brother is this weak!' he spat.

Snarling at Crimson Equinox launched himself higher into the sky. Going into the clouds he launched several bolts of lightning down at Crimson. He was to high up for Crimson to counter attack and the height made it hard for him to aim accurately, but that wasn't his reason for flying high. He scanned the horizon looking for more foes, none came so he lowered back down and charged at Crimson, hocking him to the side with his tail. Leaping up, Equinox dodged away from him, but a deep slice went through his back leg.

OCC: I think he meant that he slashed Crimson's arm, not his own arm.

IC:
Violeta noticed that Dsurion hesitated briefly after she spoke as if he were debating with himself. Realizing that she was getting to him, she continued, That's a lie! You can keep denying it all you want but it doesn't change a thing! How many more innocent people must suffer because of you and Crimson before you will finally realize the truth that he;s a monster?

Not surprisingly, her rant seemed to touch a nerve, because Dsurion promptly retaliated and rammed her in the side. Violeta braced herself and avoided the worst of the impact, though it nearly knoicked the wind out of her. Dsurion darted away before she could strike back.

Crimson only cares about himself! He doesn't care about you or anyone else! He is just a power-hungry monster!

Violeta banked to the side, avoiding another attack from Dsurion.

What is he offering you, Dsurion? He only allows you to live because you are a useful tool to him! The moment someone better comes along, he'll cast you aside like yesterday's trash. Mark my words, Dsurion! If you continue to serve him, your only reward will be a dagger in the back!

As she spok, Violeta energized her scales with a massive ammount of electricity. If Dsurion touched her again, he'd be in for a nasty surprise. Best of all, because the electricity was transfered through direct contact, her enemy would not be able to bend it away beause the effects would be instantaneous.

Equinox watched to make sure Crimson's soldiers were indeed leaving until he was sure they wouldn't come back. Once he made sure he landed by Draerr and Saphi. Glancing over he gave a worried look as Saphi fell. His soldiers came over to speak with him, but he gave a low growl, telling them to keep away and look for the injured. What's wrong? Equinox asked Draerr Did he or his pawns hurt her. he growled, his anger directed at Crimson. Glancing around he said to his soldiers Find anything of use and take it, burn the rest of this place down. He knew Crimson would likely return to the spine now. At least he hadn't managed to gain any more followers. Still, it was sad, he didn't want any of this to happen. Staring into the sky he growled a challenge to Crimson.

Violeta was overjoyed when Draerr finally found Saphi. Now she knew for sure that they were victorious. The lightning dragon slowly approached, looking down at the brother and sister.

Is she alright? I will gladly heal her if need be. Violeta offered.

Either way she was happy that her friend were safe now.


OCC: Short post.

Equinox's tail twitched, he could sense something else was wrong with Saphia. When Draerr saw the blood by her legs Equinox snarled and roared loudly with rage, his teeth bared. Come back Crimson! Come back you coward! He knew Crimson wouldn't hear, but Saphia was the second one that he knew of Crimson had done that to. The first was Quasar. He snarled but managed to regain control of himself. To Draerr and Saphia he said, I'm sorry... he couldn't figure out what he could say. He knew they should have gotten here faster. He lowered his head, he doubted they would like to hear it, but he knew it was his fault. If only they arrived her faster. A low growl escaped his mouth. To his own soldiers though they had worried looks on their faces he didn't want them to be looking, Get away from here, guard the camp.
"Yes sir." the quickly replied and took up position.

Equinox glanced at Draerr, Saphi and Violeta. Lying on the ground, he positoned himself protectively around them the best he could. Snarling mostly to himself he glanced north. Glancing at Draerr, he could tell somewhat of what he was thinking, Draerr, people do know about Crimson, oh so many do, but he is powerful, he's crushed almost every army sent against his forces. Don't under estimate him. Many of his enemies have done that, and most are now dead. If you want to fight against him, the Varden will help against him just as much as they do against Galbatorix. In the spine close to Du Weldernvarden is a resistance movement against both as well, though they are mainly against Crimson and his imperial ambitions. He glanced at his soldiers who stared back at him. To the soldiers he said We should stay here for some time I think. I thought we'd be back sooner, but now I don't think so.
"We're not giving chase?" asked a human.
Equinox shook his head, We can't catch him now. Even if we could he likely has terrabirds scouting looking for dragons to eat.

Violeta huffed at the mention of the terrabirds.

Those giant chickens would not like me very much. I'd be sure to give them the worst case of indigestion they've ever had!

The dragoness rested her head on the ground and draped her wing over her companions to protect them from the chilly night air.

Violeta was tired from the battle and gratefully closed her eyes, allowing sleep to overtake her.


OCC: Short post.

OCC: Guys, FYI, I'd like to wrap this RP up within the next few posts. I think the main plot is pretty much done.

Equinox shook his head at Violeta Don't underestimate them like every onther fool dragon does. They are more powerful than everyone thinks. And they eat he put emphasis on eat dragons which means they know how to hunt are kind. He didn't mean to sound annoyed, but he hated how ignorant most dragons were about terrabirds Yes, we can kill them, but they can just as easily kill us and eat us. Don't underestimate them.
Staring into the distance Equinox too closed his eyes, tired and hungry but mostly tired. To his soldiers he said, We should leave soon. We don't want to get these three too involved with Crimson. You know him, if you involve your selfs he'll make your life hell.
"When should we leave?" one asked.
Hopefully before the others wake up. Though they want to fight him, I don't know if it would be good for them to join our resistance. We've won skirmishes such as this, but every battle we've had with the blasted fool we've lost.
The soldiers nodded grimly.

Nodding, Equinox turned for Violeta and at his soldiers who had had gotten the entire camp ready to leave, they even took some stuff from Crimson's camp that they could scavange. Once each were ready he flew into the air and replied to her, It is time, I'm glad everything turned out fine. Maybe we'll see each other again some time. Violeta, Saphia, Draerr, I hope you all have safe journies. With that he flew away into the distance with his soldiers.

OCC: Last post!

Violeta bid her friends goodbye as they prepared to depart.

Turning to Equinox, the dragoness said, Goodbye, Equinox. And good luck, my friend. Perhaps someday out paths will cross again.

After the others departed, Violeta just stood there for a moment, pondering on what to do next. She was saddened that things had turned out the way they did. Just when she had finally made friends, Crimson had ruined everything. He would pay in due time.

Presently, Violeta spread her wings and lifted off into the dark sky. She knew that Crimson would probably come looking for them and that The Spine was no longer safe for her.

After retrieving her valuables from her cave, Violeta then set off toward some unknown destination. She wasn't sure where she was going now that she no longer had a home to return to. Vroengard was not safe, nor was The Spine.

Violeta thought about the people she had met during her visit. The dragoness hoped that Draerr and Saphi were safe wherever they were going.

Equinox... Truthfully, Violeta was tempted to join his resistance but she knew he didn't want to put her in any further danger. Besides, she already had enough enemies.

And Dsurion... Violeta felt a strange sense of pity toward him. The fool didn't realize he was being used. She hoped that perhaps he would think about what she had said. Hopefully he would realize the truth before it was too late. There was no point in worrying about any of this now though. Violeta turned her attention to the horizon and to the future.
