Hey, who are you telling to read the books again? Any way, I am listening to the Eragon audio, AGAIN, trying to find out more info on the dragons before the joining. Just now I came from my 2nd hectic exam and I just cannot read any more.

But if a wild dragon wanted to they could let a inferior race ride them. Could be how Roran gets a dragon or somone else, maybe a wild dragon can have the ritual that forms a dragonrider after they've hatched.

Somehow I think the word WILD has a lot of weight in the matter. At least in this story it is not bound to happen.
