Name: Rabscuttle(true and birth name unknown)

Age: 120 (but looks like he's 30)

Gender: Male

Skills: He is an expert blacksmith( student of Rhunon(before she swore to stop forging swords), an expert carver, and has the same attributes as an elf. He can break down his weapon's atomic structure, (only the weapons he uses or has made) thus allowing them to be stored in his essence. He has fighting skills on par with the best of the elves, and can sense nature's creations(water, food, etc.) through the metalic atoms in the ground. He also speaks all known languages.

Race: Half Shade, Half Elf

Hair: Silvery red and it falls to the small of his back

Eyes: Gray

Home Village: A village in the middle of the Hadarac Desert that didn't have a name

Parents: Mother: Natasha(elf), Father: Roman(shade)

Siblings: none

Character Personality: Since the destruction of his village, Rabscuttle has always helped and given to the needy, often even fighting to protect them from harm. It is extremely hard to anger him and he has an aura of calm that allows him to approach wild animals without alarming them. He is friendly to anyone who is not an ally of Galbatorix and he will give his asistince to anyone that wants to cast off the yoke of Galbatorix's rule.

Character History: Rabscuttle was born in the year that Galbatorix rose to power. He learned how to hunt and carve from his father, and was trained in magic by his mother. When he was 10, his village needed supplies so he voluntered to help. He went into the desert, and after about an hour of searching, he stopped to rest. When he touched the ground, he was supprised to learn that he could sense all the metals in the ground. Later, he found out that he could sense water as well. This helped his village to survive in harsh years when there was severe drought. He was 15 when Galbatorix and Morzan attacked his village, thinking it was a Varden outpost. Rabscuttle was out hunting, but he came back in time to see Galbatorix finally overpower his parent's mental defenses and make them swear in the ancient language to serve him. Running to try and save his parents, he was struck down by Morzan and left for dead. When he came around, it was morning and his wound had stopped bleeding. He healed it with magic so that it could not become infected and searched through the rubble for survivors, finding none. He left the village the next day. He wandered through the desert for the next 50 years, using his talents to survive. After those 50 years, his wanderings brought him to Du Weldenvarden. He entered, and was allowed to join the elve's society. He apprenticed to Rhunon, and became one of the best blacksmiths in Alagasia. He also trained in swordfighting with the elves. During this time, he found a Golden Eagle which had been wounded. After he healed it, the eagle stayed by his side no matter where he went. As a reward for the eagle's loyalty, he cast a spell on it that increased it's intelligence and turned every other feather black. He was out in the Hadarac Desert, searching for metal, when he met a Varden scouting party. When he talked to them, he learned that Galbatorix still terroized Alagasia. Learning this, he set out to overthrow him and, if they lived, free his parents. So deciding this, he bid farewell to the elves he had lived next to for 50 years and set out on his quest for vengence.

Weapons: A plain steel sword, an elf-made bow, 2 daggers,a sheild and a spear(all made by him)

Likes: A good, fair fight, reading, making weapons, helping others in need, on rare ocasions, training others in swordsmanship or blacksmithing, and ruining others politics

Dislikes: politics, people who destroy nature, greed, anybody who dosen't care about nature or others, and those that slave and/or sell others

Animal Companions: A Golden Eagle that can sense metal. Rabscuttle used magic to give the Eagle(his name is Skarlath) greater intelligence, but the side effect was that every other feather on the Eagle's body turned black.

Character's Physical Description: About 6'8", he has a look not unlike a human in that he is not as "refined" as the elves(sort of like Earagon after the Blood-Oath-Celebration), he has hair that falls to the small of his back, his eyes reflect all that he has seen, he has a left-to-right scar across his left eye( given to him by Morzan when he and Galbatorix destroyed his village), he wears leather armor for day-to-day tasks, but for battle he wears a regular suit of steel armor(forged by him)

Dreams for the Future: Protecting nature and overthrowing Galbatorix

Reason for Dreams: his upbringing and meditation have put him in tune with nature, and he wants to overthrow Galbatorix because he destroyed his village and because he broke the minds of his family and forced them to serve him

Alignment/side: Against Galbatorix(not directly allied with the Varden, but helps them out sometimes)
