I guess it depends on what you mean by older.

Personally I only really like stuff from the early to late 90's and early 2000s.

Tupac, Biggie, Bone thugs and harmony, Dre, Snoop. You name it.

I've been on a heavy diet of blissful, insightful and chilled out hip hop lately; Nujabes, Incise, Fat Jon, Inherit and Nomak to name a few.

Aesop Rock is some great underground from new york haha

Beautiful/Like Toy Soldiers are my two favorite songs by Eminem.

I never really liked Eminem. Stan and Cleaning Out My Closet were kinda good, but nothing special to me. He's too much of an ego rapper for my liking, and his instrumentals are mediocre. Instrumentals are a big part of good hip hop to me.

I liked most of Eminem's songs in the album Recovery, but I only like a few in other albums, mostly because he just messed around too much in those albums like Encore and Relapse. Yeah, I think he used to have a large ego, but it has slimmed down to being acceptable now. I liked Stan and Cleanin out my Closet as well.

Some of my favourite instrumentals and some newly discovered ones. Instrumental hip hop has become a big staple for me recently, sometimes lyrics can drown out what the beat has to say.
