and I do think that Ayra has feelings for Eragon but she knows that Eragon doesn't need to be distracted and also that she may be scared of those feelings. Or even fears what the other Elves would think if she did admit that she had feelings for him. But they are there just she is keeping them well hidden.

I am only a little over halfway through Eldest and I can honestly say that I don't want Eragon with Arya. I don't think she has feelings for him beyond that of friendship and what Eragon feels for her seems more like puppy-love. I think they are great friends, but I just don't see, nor do I really want to see, a relationship between the two. Even more so after I read about the elves with their mates.

I believe that Ayrea has "some" feelings but will not allow them to interfere with the overthrow of Galbatorix, if & I mean if!! they do end up together it will be after the death of Galbatorix.

I agree, and also think that IF they were to "CONNECT" Ayrea would end it, brcause if she is able to leave her mother, her home, and her friends then she would have no problem supressing her feelings toward Eragon, at least untill Galbatorix is gone and the threat is over.

wiser than arya? in one book? i highly doubt that. and the age makes a huge difference, it means she has way more experience in life than he does, and no matter how good eragon gets, arya will always look down on him, which shouldn't happen if two people really love each other

okay for one, twilight is a romance novel, so the two people have to love each other (well not have to, but you get my point), this is a fantasy novel, which is not a fair comparison. and the difference between eragon and arya is way too great for them to be together, they are practically from different worlds. and above all things, arya has too strong of a sense of duty to ever allow herself feelings for him. she knows that he needs to concentrate on defeating galbatorix, not on her. another reason i don't like the idea of them together is because eragon started fawning over her from the instant he saw her, just because of her beauty. he didn't even know who she was as a person. and that continues to be the main reason why he likes her. for eragon this is really just a crush, and i hope he'll get over it, but that's up to cp, who i really think is going to be stupid and put them together anyway to please the majority of the population.

well oromis was a rider and i think that arya will be the next one. arya and roran are the only two real possibilities. remember eragons forune, it was said that eragon would fall in love with another rider. and for the record i pretty sure eragon won't fall in love with roran or murtagh.

this age experience thing is stupid. eragon is just as experienced as arya in the art of any kind of combat EXCEPT for magic. they've both fought the empire and they both know what the empire could do. plus by elf standards arya hasn't lived either. so to say that eragon hasn't lived is wrong, because they've both watched people die, they've both killed people, and they've both punished people.

When she lost Faolin, she wasn't ready to take on someone else just then. Maybe in the next book she go with someone else, because the age and experience are so different and so far apart that is is practically impossible for Eragon to learn all that Arya has learned in just one book. So I agree with you sjlsscsdo.
