And I totally agree with what you are saying. Arya has feelings for Eragon as a FRIEND! And if these feelings should grow to something more I would not mind.
But I think the difference of age between the two of them is far to big to build up a relationship which actually works. Arya is more than half as old as Eragon. And besides that Arya is Eragons first love. He is totally unexperienced. I can't imagine how that could work out. It would be quite unrealistic, don't you think?

As long as your name is not Christopher Paolini you can't really know what's going to happen. And I'm sure that there must be a twist. Otherwise the books would turn out to be a little shallow (my opinion).

I think it would be exciting if a new character was introduced. Then I can decide which one I would like better, Arya or the other charater. At the moment there isn't that much of a choice. Or can you imagine Angela with Eragon? Even Nasuada would be a little odd. Nasuada and Murtagh would be awsome, though!

I doubt that. First, it seems that since Eragon loves Arya it would be the "easy way out" to marry them off. From what I know about CP, he won't make things so simple. Secondly, what I'MNOTCRAZY said...she's a lot older than him. Think about it. He'll die way before she does...even if he's a Rider.

And I'MNOTCRAZY...I disagree about Arya being the next Rider. Arya is already a prominent character. It seems to me that the next Rider would be someone you're not expecting. Someone new, maybe. Or it could be someone like Nasuada or Roran, someone who you wouldn't expect.

A book needs BALENCE. There needs to be a girl rider because there are only male riders. That and teh races have to balence, so it ahs to be an elf. Who do we know that's an elf woman: ARYA!!!
