okay so this is what my sister and i think will happen in book four:
when saphira's egg was stolen the dude got the green one too. brom hid saphira's AND the other dragon egg together. both were found, and eventually the green one hatched (for arya i hope). THEN every thing happened with eragon. the elves have been keeping this dragon and rider a secret, like orimis and glader, so that they can have a hidden advantage over galby. when brom died he told eragon seven words in the al, and said to only use them in great need. these seven words will summon the dragon and rider to eragon's aid.

what do you think?!?!?

I don't think so. Mostly because having that happen will cause to many conflicts between a lot of other stuff in the book. I think the green dragon's egg is sitting in a locked room (magically and normally) with armed guards who have almost no idea what they are protecting. And also, I think somebody would have told Eragon by now, like Arya.

what conflicts would it cause? and the whole point of a secret is not to tell anyone. she may have been sworn to secrecy, and no body told eragon about his father, or orimis and gleader.

i dont think that is the case because dragons and riders are bound together..u saw how eragon and saphira are when they are separated for only a few weeks or days even....if that was the case then arya and her dragon would be in deep depression over it....i think that eragon will capture the green egg and in some way it hatches for somebody in the varden....im thinking it will be arya...but...wouldnt it make sence for roran to be a rider also seeing as he is related to eragon in such a way that anything is possible

think about it. Saphira is the last female dragon. she must breed or the dragons would die out. we know that the green dragon or egg is male, thus she must mate with it and eragon would be likewise influenced. if roran was the rider, then they would have to fall in love, hence they would be gay. and we are quite certain that that neither of them are. roran being married and almost a father, and eragon being in love with arya.

and i didn't say it was arya, i said i hoped so. and eragon is a pansy when it comes to emotions.

it is possible that the green egg has hatched but i really doubt it

Hey, i just got a idea! what if selena snatched the egg before she left to give birth to eragon and gave it to garrow telling him to hide it, then went and found brom and hinted at where the egg was. then she went back to morzan.
And galbi never found out!

but i just thought of something else too. after brom told him the 7 words, he also told him their meaning, but the reader was not permitted to know what they were. this might cause complications.

I have to agree with you. Eragon would be 'moved' as you said, so i has got to be a woman at least. we know Eragon and Arya end up together because of Angela's prophecy and Eragon's dream in Book 1. so unless CP wants Eragon to be sleeping with other women then the green rider would have to be Arya.

the green egg cant have hatched already Eragon and Saphira would have senced them and knowen about them being so close

also if it already hatched for Arya then when she was geting tortured it would have flown out and klled Durza and all the guards to rescue her

i think that selina could have stolen the egg and hiden it in the vault of souls just like the other things i think that she stole annd put in there

did you guys even read the books. Murtagh said that Galby put him in front of both eggs to try and get one to hatch for him, and unfortunately Thorn did. so Galby has the last egg, unless someone has stolen it since the end of book 2.

galby would have asked whare the egg was when he talked through murtagh and also then everyone in the varden would be furious because she could have helped them

shes a strong enough spell caster, and she is a master in swords play. training wouldn't have been a problem, because she lived in Ellesmera.we don't know when this could have happened, so she might have been a rider for decades.

ya i cant think of any problems. It would also benefit the varden cus they would have a elf spellcaster.

well it mean that Eragon and Saphira, Galb and Shruken aren't are as strong as CP makes them out to be. also it would cause more resentment between Murtagh and Eragon because remember how upset Murtagh was he found out about Oromis and Glaedr. he would be furious with the "rebels". also it would cause alot of friction between Arya and Eragon, he and Saphira would loose alot of their trust in Arya.

they would understand that she had sworn not to tell. they were not mad at ormis and gelader when they told eragon about brom................ well at least not for very long. and why wouldn't the others be as strong? and yes there would be resentment between the half brothers, but murtagh will probably die , and eragon will leave forever. so thats a small problem.

the other's would be as strong as CP has made them to be because especially Galb should have been able to sense when Arya was made a rider, because he was alive before she was born.

okay, why would Murtagh say anything to Eragon? it would be smarter to make him and the rest of the varden think that galby has the egg. if eragon knew that it was out there somewhere, then there would be a mad search for it. it is safer for galby to secretly hunt it.

Galby does have the egg and as i keep saying her dragon would refuze to stay in elsmira while she knows that she is going to fight.

also Eragon is a elf now so then they would have two elven casters because after the dragons changed him he got all the abiliteys of the elvs except flexability he even got their strenth in magic and control of mind

it might not. it could know that it was safer for everyone if it stayed. and also it might not be as over protective as saphira. maybe it it is wise enough to know that when the time is right, he can go to her. and remember when eragon and arya were in elesmera in eldest? well eragon said that being home seemed to agree with her. this might be because she was reunited with her dragon after their time apart.

Well, if being at home put her with her dragon, why did she stay away for so long, i mean, she vlounteered to be the carrier of another dragon egg, why not be with her dragon instead of carrying the egg of a dragon that would never be her's.

well she might have been happy about her dragon too. and you wouldn't know if she was depressed by being away from her dragon because she is so solemn and she doesn't let people know about her feelings. furthermore she would be glad to carry the dragon egg because she would know that it was her duty as a dragon rider to do so.

well maybe she was nervose about seeing her mother, but excited about seeing her dragon.

your theory is a nicely formed one, i myself actualy thought of it before. But i have a question, how did we know that the last egg was (and could still be) green?

Paolini said in an interveiw that the cover of the next book will be green and people just assume that the next dragon will be green

The dragon already being hatched has merit, as the dragon would be grown and ready for battle. The only problem is the rider. If the egg has hatched then Arya would not be the rider for the reason that, like has been stated she would have spent long amounts of time away from it. Also, think about it, would a dragon let their rider be taken captive and tortured like Arya was. Saphira, already stated her intentions if Eragon would have been captured and I think all dragons have that same devotion to their riders and vice versa. Like I said before, the biggest problem would be the unknown rider. They would have to be a character that has not yet been revealed and no good author will put a major character into a book in its end. We would have no time to develop a good enough backstory of them. Therefore, I think the egg is still under Galbatorix's control, but then again who knows what will happen.

that might work if you keep insisting that arya is not it. we must remember that saphira has a sort of blood lust that all dragons might not share. also, we don not know if gelader was captured when orimis was. if he was not then he is a prime examle of what i have been trying to prove all along.

Saphira, does not have a bloodlust uncommon to dragons. Glaedr showed the same bloodlust when Oromis was killed. Had he been healthy then Thorn and Murtagh would have died. Then agian had Oromis been healthy they would have died also. Now I will say that any of the elves could be the next rider, but why would they still be hidden and not have ridden into battle with Oromis. No, the green egg has not yet hatched for the main reason as there is no character established that could possibly be it's rider.

but saphira has bloodlust even when she is not in the heat of battle. she often says that she would rip people apart, or eat them, or something along those lines.

I'm not sure about my thoughts, trust me for all I know there will be killer monkeys in the new book. While, I do agree that Saphira is bloodthirsty, remember she is a dragon and a young one at that. She is more like a wild dragon at this point. I think that as the dragons age they mellow more as do we humans.

you also have to remember that when she talked to hrothgar she mentioned something aout eragon geing hurt and her tearing through the whole army to kill every last one in the other army then hrothgar said that "I see that the dragons have not changed over the time"

and the other rider or dragon would not let oromis fly into battle w/o them
saphira loves to fly into battle and kill so all would be like that i think

I have a question why do you think the elven child would be a good rider. The main problem is that we have no background on them and it would not be a good idea to bring a major character into the series in the last book.

that is true, and it was just a thout. it did say that the elf children were super powerful, so maybe they will just join the varden a kick some major butt!

While I do agree they are powerful, you have to remember that Elven children are rare. The only time they would ever be considered to be let into battle would be a last resort.

find what? the egg? well i think that the elf childern will have some sort of major role in book 4 because CP would not introduce 2 new characters for no reason. just like the two travelers/nomads will be important

HMM ...A green egg?why not white or maybe yellow, how about brown?the new egg will hatch for a dwarf.whom will probably be a new character.arya will die in final battle and erogon will have a girl in book 4.some one always dies in each book and that someone is usually a character originated in that book.I hav e a feeling erogons mother will be alive somewhere and his sister will be revealed.thorn will die but his hearts of hearts will be given to erogon and murtochs will be alone but free of g-man and he will fall for arya.

Where does it say she does love him??? He is wayyyyyy to old for her, anyway. Also, Note: In book one, it says something along the lines of "there has never been a dwarf dragon rider before" Why start now? Besides, dwarfs don't like to fly. I bet Arya becomes the next DR and the green egg is her dragon. The egg Eragon found was proably from way before the time of Galby.

Oh come one, CP has admitted it. Yes, it's not talked about openly in the books. Maybebecause every one knows and he figurs no one would think otherwise. But CP isn't this little old scrouge who huddels in the cornor, thumbing bills, giving us all these hints, (slight mentions in Eldest. Green connecting Arya, green eggs, green sowrds, green book cover) Unless he decied to turn the tables and break tradition and while we all stumble around going what happened?????? the dragon will be green. Each book cover is based off a dragons color. CP has said (unless he's ling though his teeth, but read above) that the next dragon will be gren. You doubt? send if a letter or read FAQ on his site.
