Post Any recomendations?
I have nothing to read. I want to know the names of some books along the lines of Harry Potter and Inheritence. You know, sword and sheild, witch and wizard, dragon and giant, war and judgement, toads and frogs, violence and heart, the works. I heard of something called The Ember Series. I also read Lord Of The Rings and Seventh Tower so don't bring those up.

Please help me find literature to warp my fragile little mind.

Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCafrey. some of the stuff is explicit, but other than that, they're fine.

Thanks. I really need to read a book. Harry Potter made it a hobby, Eraggon made it an obsession.

Yeah it is! Man, if only scientists would find some little cave where mini dragons exsist. They could be pets. (I don't think they would be smart like Saphira if they where real, but they could I guess)

Maybe they do exsist but adopted to the size of basic lizards and are small enough to keep. That would ROCK!

The books I'm about to list are excellent:

The Giver (Gathering Blue, and Messenger are kinda sequels. I haven't read them yet though.) by Lois Lowry.
Harry Potter, of course.
The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander.
The Ink-Trilogy, which includes: Inkheart, Inkspell, and Inkdawn, by Cornelia Funke.
The Theif Lord, by Cornelia Funke.
Dragon Rider, by Cornelia Funke.
Alex Rider series, by Anthony Horowitz.
The Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis
The Space Trilogy, by C. S. Lewis.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, by J. R. R. Tolkien, (Harry Potter is so better, lol)
The Hobbit, by J. R. R. Tolkien.
Men of Iron, I forget who it is by. but it's good.
The Series of Unfortunate Events.
Magyk, Flyte, and Physik, by Angie Sage, (I haven't read them, but I heard they were really good, but I haven't got a chance to read them yet.)
The Dark is Rising Sequence, by Susan Cooper.
Gregor the Overlander series, I forget who the author is though.
The SpiderWick Chronicles, by Holly Black, and Tony something or other, lol.

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now.

I think Ayra will be the next rider. Read I'MNOTCRAZY's signature for more info.
Ayra may die when fighting Galbatorix! i have proof!
with the way CP put the book, i have a feeling that Eragon will lose some more loved ones/good friends, Garrow and Brom died in Eragon, Ajihad died in Eldest, they were all loved ones/good friends. Ayra prolly WILL die!
for those who don't understand my sig, for about 200 pages Ayra will be a rider, then she'll die.

I'm surprised no-ones mentioned the abhorsen trilogy by garth nix. not bout wizards and dragons and all that but its quite original.

You could also try "Across the Nightingale Floor" by lian hearn. I know its not 100% fantasy type but theres an element of magic it it along with ruthless assasination politics etc. Its more like a feudal japan type book but its a good read.

Im starting on robin hobb's farseer trilogy, a bit hard to get into but its meant too b good.

Well, as I said before, "The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King is very good, but it doesn't deal with the traditional fantasy of Dragons and Elfs, etc, but still a very good read.

I've also been hearing very good things about "The Wheel of Time" series, as well as "A Song of Ice and Fire". Don't take my word for it, however, since I don't intend to read them anytime soon. Read about 'em, though. I hear they are the best shibbaba (I'm assuming I can't swear, so I am choosing my favorite replacement word) since Tolkein, but I find that hard to believe.

Hmm, also, "Dune'. I've heard the name alot of times, so I'm assuming it's good.

That's all I got. All of what I've suggested was probably already addressed, but oh well. :D

I read a lot of books but mainly Sci Fi and Suspense.

If you like Sci Fi consider Century Rain, Reveltion space, and Absolution gap

And for Suspense, look for Iris Johansen books

Try books by Tamora Peirce, the ones I read were good.
Another series is called blue bloods, it doesn't really have magic in it but it does have vampires.
Another book series with vampires : The Vampire Plagues by Sebastian, something, I forgot his last name.
Um, Try The eye of the Dragon, By Stephen King, Don't let the name fool you, it doesn't really have much to do with Dragons.
Another suggestion: Go to the library and start picking random books off the shelves. I did it, once, and found alot of really cool books.

Gideon the Cut Purse is really good but I forget who it's by. It deals with time-travel and a bit of science fiction, it makes you think really hard about time travel. It made my head spin and that's saying something!

Another good book is Borth of the Fire Bringer By Meredith Peirce, the second book is called dark Moon, don't read the second before the first, you will be utterly confused if you do.
