Skills: -Magic: Kit had no magical abilities till he was bonded with Shyara, what few words he does know he learned from his younger sister. When he uses magic it is the same color as Shyara’s flame, wine or blood red. He does have a larger potential with magic because of what happened when Shyara was still in her egg. His magic is only amplified when his is touching though.
-Bow: Kit shoots a long bow made of yew; his grandfather made it and then gave it to Kit on his 12th birthday. He is a very good shot always within three inches of hit of where he was aiming. He carries it in a sheath on his back.
-Sword: Kit’s sword skills are still a little wobbly, because he used a dagger for most of his life. It was only 2 years ago that he was able to afford a good sword and he hasn’t really had a chance to practice against anyone else, except for the occasional wild animal that would attack the goats and cows. Every night he’d practice his attacks against a pole out behind the barn, so his attacks are good but still needs a lot of training for his defense.

Character Personality: He gets joy out of little things. He is slow to judge and chooses friends wisely. He never trusts people that don’t trust him. Family overrides any present matter. He is faithful to his friends always, even if it seems to them that he stabbed them in the back. If he does get into a relationship he stays true to that one girl. His morals are very high, he doesn’t believe in unnecessary or wrongful death. He believes that if too much power if given to one person they can become corrupt, and 75% of them do. He comes second to his friends, family, dragon, and animals. He believes in a destiny where you’ll end up in place but how you get there is up to you. He needs some form of organization, even if it is just eating a specific time, in his life otherwise everything else will fall apart. He believes that the wicked must be corrected and if they can’t be corrected then punished and where needed, eliminated. He tries to never lie, even in his native language, and he despises people who's mouths seem to be a leaking dam of lies. He doesn't like to be wrong, but with enough evidence against him, he will accept that he is wrong and won't hold anything against the person correcting him. He will seek revenge on anyone who harmed anyone or anything he is closed to. He can be pushed pretty far, but when he is pushed over the line, he becomes a beast of blind fury that will do anything in his power to destroy that person or persons.

Character History: His grandmother was from Barret, but his grandfather was found half dead at the edge of the nearby forest and was nursed back to health by Kit’s great-grandmother, then his grandparents fell in love and were married. Their daughter, Alandry, met a boy, Delur, at the town fair when she 15. Shortly after she turned 17 they were married, and after a year went by Kit was born. He was born on October 18, just as a wild dragon flew overhead, not that anyone made any connections between him and the dragon at the time. Three years later, Kit’s younger brother, Pij, was born and with him a whole lot of attitude. Kit lost a lot of his ability to express joy on the outside after he was punished time and time again for Pij’s bad deeds. Kit, however, did get something good out of it; he started to work harder to help around the house, to restore the honor he had wrongfully lost. This helped mold his character to what it is today. When Kit was 8yrs old his younger sister, Arora, was born. Kit knew she was special, because when he was left home to watch her, while his parents took Pij to the healer’s, she said her first words, “Magic, brisingr,” and the corner of the crib burst into flames. As Arora’s understanding grew he and she developed a close friendship that went beyond sibling-hood. Kit’s parents tried to get him to court some of the local girls, but found that they lacked something that he could not identify, but he searched for. He awakes in a cold sweat from dreams weekly, in which he was fighting from the back of flying beast with a women behind him and then suddenly there’d be an agonizing scream and they would fall out of the sky; he’d wake up when he landed in ice cold water.
After bringing back a wild stallion that had been pestering the towns people, Kit realized that his dog was missing and went looking to her. He found her in the forest digging at the roots of large tree. He couldn’t get her to come back with him so he dug out under the tree with her and found a large blue-green stone. He brought it back home with him and hid it in the barn stall with his horse. One day he was looking at it with affection, advisement, and love and then the rock broke open revealing a baby dragon. She lived in the barn like a cat, eating the mice, rats, and whatever leftovers Kit brought her. He named her Shyara, because he had always felt a connection with a name just like that but not the same one.

Weapons: - Kit has a sword that he bought two years ago. It is just your average steel sword nothing fancy, though he would like to get one that is custom made for him. He has a yew bow that his grandfather made and be got on his 12th birthday. He keeps it on his back with several arrows. Kit also has a small dagger that he found when he was 7 years old. The hilt is gold encrusted and has a large ruby at the end.

Likes: - people who confront their problems head-on; justice and payback for those that have been wronged.

Dislikes: - people who lag around and don’t accomplish anything; People who ignore problems and stick their heads in the sand like an Ostrich while there’s a blazing fire about to consume them.

Character's Physical Description: - He is roughly 6’ 2”. His hair is between shoulder length and not having any at all, it is somewhat lighter on top and darker on the bottom. He is well built for speed and swinging a sword, but he is not stocky. His arm muscles are abit big from working in family garden and chopping wood. For the most part he is just your average 19 year old boy. His key characteristic is dark eyes that make him appear as being able to look into you very soul.

Dreams for the Future: - a tyrant free land. Find a wife for himself and Shyara a mate.

Reason for Dreams: - that’s what he stands for and has always believed should be. Half of himself and Shyara seem to be missing, so it just seems right to him to want this.

History: - 500 yrs before Barret was founded a Phoenix built its nest over her egg, and at the Phoenix’s rebirth it hardened her shell and her scales. Kit found her egg under a tree in the nearby forest when his dog, Nola, had disappeared and he went looking for her. Her parents disappeared after what Shyara remembers as a terrible storm one night soon after she was laid. She stayed in her shell until she felt love from a being, and she broke out hoping that her parents had return, but found Kit. She reached out to touch him and when she did her natural dragon magic and the extra magic from the Phoenix, formed an unbreakable bond between the two.

Personality: - She has a temper that, depending on the circumstances, can jump up and knock you off your feet. She kind of resents other dragons that know who and have lived with their parents. She trusts who Kit does and distrusts most everyone else. She values honor, loyalty, and the truth. She protects Kit with her life and in order for a person to get close to him they have to get through her; also if a girl breaks his heart she better hide from Shyara. The Elves have always fascinated her with their use of magic and knowledge.

Color: - She has a swirl design of a sapphire blue and emerald green. Her flame is a dark, red wine color.

Appearance: - She has a beautiful array dark blue and dark green scales; each scale has a five inch diameter. Her wings are made of stretched of skin over the bones with scales over the bones and her belly scales are hard but a well angled blow will slice through them easily. Her body perfectly symmetrical; she is sleek and fit. Her wingspan is well over 150 feet and growing, and she has the power to carry several men over long distances at half her preferred speed, or take 1 or 2 at amazing speeds. Her hind legs are considerably stronger and bigger than her front, this is for quick lift off and landing out of a vertical dive. Her eyes are orange with black vertical slits for the pupils. Her claws come to razor sharp points and are harder than steel, and have two sharp edges on the backsides. Her teeth are serrated and give the appearance of many daggers.

Armor: (if any) – near unbreakable scales on back, neck, sides, and tail. She has acquired her mother's armor that she possessed before she left Alagaësia.

Special Abilities:- She can hold her breathe for over and hour, allowing her to fly very high up, and her scales make her near impervious to the freezing cold.
-Teleport: Shyara has to have seen the place she is going, either seen it through herself, or by a mental image from another person. She can try an 'jump' to the place without the image, but there is a 99% chance she will kill herself, either by ending up in a rock, underground, etc, or the lack info sending her body parts to different spots. If she doesn't have the energy, she'll get stuck between and that's it, she'll die because there is no way for her to breath there and it is beyond the coldest of the cold. The farther from her current position the more energy it takes, however, 100 foot radius of her current position, it doesn't take any energy.
