A Star's Kiss
OOC: Anyone is welcome to join, I'm trying to get into Valria's character a little bit. The title was just something I came up with it has no meaning lol.IC: Valria was pearched on a tree that grew on the edge of Surda. She was resting after a long journey from the Beor Mountains, and was collecting her thoughts. Not too long ago, she had died. She died and came back to life. Val wasn't sure how it happened, or really even remembers how it had happened, but it did. She knew that phoenixes could regenerate but she was told it was something...different. It was almost a rainbow explosion, not a feiry death like most of her kind. What had happened that day? Was it the type of death that caused her body to explode in such a way? She had always been ridiculed for being different from her peers, and maybe they were right. Maybe she was different. Maybe too different. Something like this could have dire consequences to follow. She could have a dark future ahead of her.
For now, she rest peacefully in her thoughts, enjoying the warm sun on her white feathers. Only the wind disturbed the forest rustling the leaves hanging from the branches above.

Re: A Star's Kiss
Silas flew along silently, enjoying the feeling of the warm sun on his back and the tops of his wings. He had returned from his trip across the vast ocean only a few days ago, and the events there had shocked him into an even deeper silence than what would normally find him. His mind started to drift along those dark paths of memory, and again he could feel the pain as his flesh was torn by weapons and mysterious creatures of shadow.
The flapping of his wings faltered and he dropped twenty feet before he could pull himself back into the present, his smoky blue eyes wide as he twitched from side to side, trying to get a glimpse of the enemy he was certain was approaching. He shuddered after a moment and locked his wings, sinking quickly to the ground. After a few seconds of falling, he flared his wings slightly and landed heavily on the ground. As soon as he folded his black wings in, he collapsed to the ground, clutching his head in his forepaws.
It's not there. You're back in Alagaesia, those things can't get you. The others and you destroyed them, they can't hurt you, he mumbled to himself, pressing his beak into the ground and smelling the scent of the warmth earth as it was turned over.
He remained there, shivering as if a cold wind were blowing across him, for what seemed like hours, but when he looked up, the sun had hardly moved. He squinted and looked around, trying to figure out where he had landed. The gryphon frowned, he had never been to this place before. He scuffed his forepaw against the ground, watching the puff of dust the movement created. He guessed from the dryness of the soil and the relatively high sand content that he was near or in Surda, close to the Hadarac.
He looked up from the ground and lifted his wings, prepared to go on his way. He froze, his eyes wary as he stared at the creature perched in a tree across from him. Apparently it's eyes were closed because it didn't seem to have noticed his presence and he knew it wouldn't have heard him. He hesitated for a moment, trying to decide what to do.
Though it was the last thing he really wanted to do, he reached out to it's mind. Hello? I am Silas, who are you? he asked warily. In normal circumstances he would have just flown away, but the breeze from his wings might have alerted the bird-like being that he was there, or he might stumble and make one of the few loud noises he had ever made in his life. As it was, he unfurled his wings even further, prepared to leap into the air at the slightest hint of aggression.
