 too lazy to read the first book.ok people.im too lazy to read the 1st book so,those of you that love eragon(1st book) so much,and if you're really kind,can you plz tell me a small,but with some detail,excerpt of the book.the reason that i don't want to read the 1st book is becuz it's too long and i don't like to read very long books.SO PLZ TELL ME ABOUT THE 1ST BOOK.PLZZZ!!!!!

Re: too lazy to read the first book. If you haven't read the first book then you can start the second. There is a summary of Eragon in Eldest right at the beginning, which I skipped personally having read the first book, so you're not going to miss anything important. We might miss something though.

Re: too lazy to read the first book. You kind of have to read the book to understand the story (even if there is a summary). Besides, reading Eragon isn't work. It's actually really fun and interesting to read.

Re: too lazy to read the first book. Hmm. Yeh. You've really got to read the books, and even though the synopsis of eragon explains it in brief, you miss out some of the details that they might have missed out.

Re: too lazy to read the first book. i'm confused.....you didn't read the first one because it was long, and you don't like long books, so are you not going to read the second book either, because it's longer? and the third book, which is even longer? so if you hope to be totally informed by summaries, i'm afraid you're going to be disappointed......
