Not everyone has the Eldest LE so this could be a big deal for some of us like me.

if you havent yet read the excerpt from book 3 then you should do it! with the excerpt release i can hope that the book will come soon.

i read it, DONT READ IT it just makes for more suspence for the new book coming i hate it /cry

what do you think about it though? so it seems like the first big task eragon is gonna do is rescue katrina... then the adventure continues there... either they'll be taken to galbatorix, they'll find the egg, or something....

As soon as I find anything out I'll be making a huge announcement - not here but in the Local News and Announcements section. Random House has been saying, however, that the intended but not specific release date of Book III is 2008. I cannot give any more info than that because nothing else has been said.

i reckon they will find the third egg right there in the clutches of the Ra'zac. Otherwise the story will be too short for the next rider to be trained and introduced. Even if it is to an existing character. I know, I know that you all got your theories, but they don't matter unless the next rider can be trained within a year. CP must be having a hard time with writing this because all the fans are expecting something or the rather. I know i am. So i expect 2008 to the the Earliest it will be written.

exactly my point. Only elves can be trained in less than a year because they already know magic. Which is why I come to Arya...besides my usual points such as foreshadowing, aptness, and becoming closer to Eragon, there's always the fact that bringing a new character in as the third most important character in the book in the third and last book in a series is completely unorthodox, illogical, and just plain stupid. Thus, our only logical conclusion is, Arya.

Or perhaps the third rider will learn fast if she has multitudes of souls in her like murtagh had.

Anyway, I hope CP doesn't fill book 3 up with useless nonsense, like parts of eldest had.

I hope so too, there was too much stalling for time in the Eldest.
