ok there are 1-2 or more million readers of eragon in america alone, and more fans around the world , and each fan would probably bring one or more family members, friends, and so we could be talking ten million viewers in theaters alone, they could have spent more money and followed the story line, but by doing it differently, theyve alienated the viewers, us. now people may get mad, not see it more than once in theaters, etc, etc.

cp should have gove with new line cinema and lotr's producer, because lord of the rings was awesome, and eragon could be too[/i]

I totally agree!

Gryn thinks Peter Jackson (director of LOTR) should have directed it.
I am starting to agree

the producer and irecter wanted to follow the storyline more, but fox wouldnt give them enough money, and they had to cram the storyline into a short movie so they had to leave things out and change things

you dont pay off your debt to the company depending on how good the movie is, they give you money based on how good they want it to be.

That would have been impossible since Peter is working of several different projects already. He may not even direct the Hobbit if it's made.

Half-heartedly making the first, may adversely effect the ability to produce the 2nd and 3rd (financially speaking).

This could have and should have been a phenomenal film … it was merely OK at best, and if you loved the book, it was a sad portrayal and nothing short of treason … OK, maybe a little OTT, but I (and many others) was really looking forward to this film ... and it didn't quite deliver!!!
