I always though the next dragon be green so the three main dragons would be blue, red, and green the 3 color people most recognize. I ddn't hear that he was really calling it Empire I though that was a rumor because he wanted to keep all the titles stating with E but he added Brisingr because "Empire" would have geen to long.

White would actually make a lot of sense if Saphira mated with it...Bid'Daum started the riders and Greenie (or WhiteDragon) will bring back the dragons...that would be nice...

I dont know who it would be really, I dont think it would be arya, cus I think shes too old, It would be better for a younger person to get the egg hatched for them. Seriously, imagine the tension between Eragon and Arya when he has to train her in the ways of the riders...
As for the colour of the egg, green seems to be more likely, but then again, it could be anything... Im sure CP mentioned a green egg so...

I believe that Galbatorix actually doesn't have the last egg. The thief who stole Saphira's egg actually stole both eggs. The thief somehow had a revelation of the future, and saw what had to happen to all eggs. He left Thorn's egg with Galbatorix because he knew that Thorn had to hatch for Murtagh. If that egg had gone to the Varden they never would have let Murtagh get near it; it had to stay with Galbatorix so that Murtagh would be able to touch it. The green egg was hidden somewhere(the Vault of Souls perhaps?)- that is why the thief disappeared for so long. The thief may have been trying to take the egg to the Varden and was attacked by Morzan who took if from him, or he may have let Morzan get his hands on it so that Brom would be forced to kill Morzan to take it.

Galbatorix would never have let people know that his eggs had been stolen. The Varden didn't know that the thief had stolen the green one, so they never looked for it, and Galbatorix couldn't afford to let the Varden find out about it, so when the Varden got their hands on the blue one and didn't know about the green one so he couldnt look for it for fear the Varden wonder what he was looking for. Possibly he had the Razak looking for it, but not to obviously. Galbatorix also wouldn't have told Murtagh that the other egg was missing, because the perfect picture Galbatorix showed Murtagh wouldn't have looked as good with one less egg. Besides, why would he have told Murtagh?

Throughout the books people keep saying that Galbatorix is trying to get his eggs to hatch, but there are two problems with this- 1) How would they know- if any spies for the Varden had seen the eggs, they would have tried to steal it even if there was a one in a thousand chance of getting it (before Saphira hatched, there only hope was the eggs, and Saphira's was stubbornly refusing to hatch). 2) If Galbatorix had been looking so hard for a rider for his dragon, then why had Murtagh never been exposed to the eggs? He was the most likely candidate in the world for an egg to hatch, because he was Morzan's son. I believe that Galbatorix was so worried about the egg hatching for someone who would betray him, that he had to make sure that whoever it hatched for was loyal to him. That is why he worked so hard to get Murtagh's loyalty. After Murtagh returned to Galbatorix, he knew Murtagh's real name, so he believed that he could control him completely.

i didn't vote for anything. i spoke my opinion, and of course i said that, because what important part does the egg even have in the book? there is no way that they would be able to be trained in time. even if it hatched for arya, the dragon would still have to train, and there's not enough time for that. so either the egg hatches in the epilogue after everything's finished or it never hatches at all/gets destroyed

well she could mate with a dragon from another land when eragon really leaves never to return

I agree with Sj and Annie in this one. I believe that the third egg will not play a major part in book four and I believe that the egg will hatch for bladesinger. Pretty amazing that I agree with both of you!

how do you know she will be the right one for the dragon? we don't even know the dragon? and you'll probably be right, but only because cp doesn't have any guts to change his straight-to-the-rules type storyline

and the green dragon was on the cover when there was going to only be 3 books. so its not guaranteed that it'll be on the cover of the 4th.


and i still think the eggs going to be destoryed or hatch in the epilogue, because there isn't enough time for the dragon itself to train (i'm getting tired of saying that, i've only said it like 5 times)

Ok, I agree that the Epilogue thing is possible (I don't personally believe it), because it would take so long for it to grow up and be useful anyway, so it is possible. As for it being broken... Well once again this is my opinion, but I think it would be pretty terrible to build up to the last egg for three books, then suddenly when everyone's hopes are up destroy it... Well I just don't think so (especially not with that few dragons left).

Hehe...I agree with Sj...Arya should die...and I doubt that the egg will hatch for her. Just because 11 people have voted for her doesn't mean they are right. Usually in a book like this the majority is wrong...

Having read the books do you people actually believe (or some how WISH???) that Paolini is a bad enough author to wreck his books? Besides, how would it help the plot to kill a character who we never met? (Besides, who would kill it?)

Killing Arya will not wreck the book...In my opinion it will add alot to it.

Lets think... Paolini spends the entire book working on Eragon and Arya's relationship. He goes to the trouble of making them equals in both power, and in the fact that they are both shadeslayers, and then at the very end in a surprise move she DIES. That sounds just great (Not).

It gets us to thinking that they will end up together and then she saves him, gets a mortal wound that can't be healed, and before she dies in his arms tells him she loves him...very *sniff* emotional *sobs*.

i like that except for arya telling him she loves him. she should be like "i hate you!" before she dies or something. lol jk.

Ya know SJ, if you read Brisingr MORE carefully, then you will notice that Eragon said that he INTENTIONALLY peruses her even though he probably can't ever win her, because he doesn't want to love someone who will just die after sixty or seventy years. Just curious, but can you think of someone immortal that is closer to Eragon's age than Arya?

You have to remember that book 3 and book 4 were supposed to be one book, so why would he have only introduced the character that was going to be the last rider in only the first half of the last book. The last book is going to have to move really fast, and there wont be time to get to know a new character. Arya will be the new rider.

Or bladesinger...that is my (and Annie's) belief...it would be so much better than Arya...
