January 11 - Eragon Movie to Release on Blu-Ray
20th Century Fox announced that the Eragon Movie would release on Blu-Ray.

February 12 - Eragon DVD Release Date Announced + Specifics
20th Century Fox Announced the Eragon DVD Release date would be March 20. Specifics were also noted.

March 13 - Eldest Releases in Paperback
Book II in the Inheritance Series was released in paperback in the United States.

March 20 - Random House's Frycaya Network
Random House launches their new "Fricaya Network" site as part of the official Inheritance Trilogy website. The site would contain information on Book III when available. It also contained other features

March 20 - Christopher Paolini reveals new Trilogy Cycle Answers
Czech fan site Alagaesie.net received a reply to their open letter from Christopher Paolini, answering some questions they had about the Inheritance Trilogy.

March 20 - Eragon DVD Released
20th Century Fox released the Eragon DVD in the United States

March 27 - Alagaesia Mobile Club
Alagaesia.com released this part of their website, so members could sign up, and receive Inheritance alerts via SMS.

March 28 - Random House Gives Input on Book III
Random House announces that the non-confirmed release date for Book III would be 2008

April 17 - Eragon and Eldest Bestsellers
Both Eragon and Eldest were best selling books, with Eldest #1 New York Times bestseller.

April 24 - Book 3 Excerpt Released Online
Random House release the excerpt of Book III which featured in the Eldest Limited Edition online as part of their new Fricaya Network.

May 25 - SaphiraForums is upgraded to phpBB 3
SaphiraForums was upgraded to the latest version of phpbb, enabling the community to expand and allowing SaphiraForums to be able to do things in the future that wasn't possible with phpbb 2.

June 19 - Paolini, Pullman, and Pierce three-way Interviews
The three authors did another three-way interview as a follow-up from their last one in 2003. It was split into 9 topic related podcasts.

July 19 - New Alagaesia Newsletter - July 07
Paolini announced in this edition of his newsletter that he returned to the process of completing Book III after the end of the Eragon Movie. He also stated that he would give more frequent updates on the book from then on. As a last note, he gave a list of recommended reading while waiting for Book III.

August 2 - Eragonmovie.com Officially Removed
The Official Eragon Movie website was finally taken down after over six months.

August 30 - Last Call to Join Fricaya
Random House announced that after August 31 you can no longer join Fricaya Network.

October 29 - Exciting News to be Released October 30!
Random House announced that "exciting" news would be released on October 30 to do with the Inheritance series.

October 30 - Inheritance Cycle - Now Four Books!
Christopher Paolini and Random House announced that the inheritance series would no longer be three books, but four. Christopher stated that to be true to his characters and the original plot this would be necessary. It was also announced that the release date for Book III would be September 23 2008.

October 30 - Video Announcement from CP
Alagaesia.com released the video announcement of Paolini telling the public about the dramatic changes to Inheritance

December 23 - Alagaesia Newsletter - December 2007
CP sent out his latest newsletter which included his progress with Book III, more on how and why he made a huge change to the series, and how this affects the title and cover designs of Book III. He also gives his holiday greetings.
