 mystery of the mindsOOC: Hey any one can join and the slanted kines are zeridor speaking and the bold ones are Verdel.
IC: Verdel and Zeridor where walking around in the empire and out of no where they both felt hundreds of minds all in one place and they looked to find the source and they saw a hunormus cave about 150 feet away. Hey Zeridor do you feel that? Yes I do and the source is that cave. Ok then I guess we are going in.  Oh, and when you start an rp, could you maybe make it a little longer? Just for the first rp, okay? IC: Elcyon flew over the mountains where the sun was shining down through a break in the clouds. She clutched her journal to her chest tightly as a gust of wind picked up. She angled her wings, remembering what her friend Phal had told her when they had once prepared for a battle a while ago. Those memories of that fatal day would haunt her for the rest of her life. But El knew she had to carry on; her mother would not want her to dwell in sadness all of her life. She wondered where she was, it had been a while since she was paying attention to the scenery. It appeared that she was over a mountain or two, and something stirred in the air, making her tingle with excitement. I can smell an adventure just waiting to happen, she thought to herself. Over the mountain, she noticed a dragon and his rider standing outside of a rather gargantuan cave, hesitating at the entrance. Good morning to you, she greeted, hesitant and shy. El was a dragon who was more on the gentle side, and didn't often warm up to strangers as quickly as she would have liked. IC: Elcyon chuckled. It's no trouble at all. She turned to look at the cave that seemed to be very ominous. Normally, El would not have traveled into a cave that she had not explored or with someone who has not been in there as well, but this was El's chance to get some real exploration time in. Agreed, let's head in, she replied, walking in. The mouth of the cave was just the tip of the iceberg. Inside it was much larger, and quite dark. The rock formations were incredible. Stalagmites were nearly touching the ground, and most were quite thick. The minerals that made up the rock walls shined in what little light could make its way in. In some areas, it was a tight fit, but otherwise it was no trouble for El. She was an extremely sleek dragon and nimble for getting through tight spots. IC:We are doing fine, Verdel said as he was using magic to jump from stalagmite to stalagmite. Wow this cave seems to go on for awile. Ya I know what you mean and I think I see lights flashing in the distance. Lets check it out. As they walked down the cave the lights grew stronger and and the tempurature increased. Then they walked into a hunormus cavern with hundreds of dragons flying around blasting fire at each other. How did we not know about this? I have no clue but it seems as if the dragons are in some sort of battle so we should lay low and find out what all this is about. Ezerre looked at the cave entrance. There was not much sound coming out of it, but it was not quiet the way it should, and he could sense a lot of minds inside of it. Deciding to investigate what was going on, he walked inside and flew a little forwards. He saw that the cave was huge, even for him. Suddenly he came upon a strange scene that he would not have expected. There were hundreds of dragons fighting in the cave, and there were two others along with a Rider standing back from it, watching. Something isn't right here, he thought. He was so intrigued that he did not even think of introducing himself. _________________

IC: Elcyon watched in amazement as they came to a cavern that stretched at least a mile wide. So many dragons were battling in the air...and it seemed that they had only just begun. We shouldn't get caught in a battle that doesn't concern us, she told them wisely. It might be best if we leave while we can. Just as she turned, El spotted a dragon walking into the cave, and he appeared to be a newcomer, and not one of the dragons who were battling. Though I wonder who they are and what is causing them to fight like this... She tilted her head up higher and called out to the dragon, Who are you? What are you doing here? What about you? he asked. He looked back up to the dragons once more, wondering where so many had come from and what they were all doing there, fighting.

I am Verdel and this is Zeridor my dragon. Verdel I reached out with my mind and communicated with one of the larger dragons and it seems there war is bettween three clans of dragons and each clan consists of one color and they are black, gold, and green. Well did you find out what it is about? Apparently they are fighting over who gets to keep the nesting grounds. Nesting grounds? Yes dont you see all the egg shells. Oh well lets talk to one of the clan leaders about it. Finnaly Zeridor jumed into the air with Verdel on his back and as they were flying Verdel yelled down, are you coming? _________________ I guess this can be my signature for now..... |

She looked around, noting that there were indeed egg shells lying all ove the place. El had never seen such a place before, and wondered how long these dragons had been existing. Her curiosity was getting the better of her. Instead of wondering whether or not it would be wise to avoid the conflict, she nodded. Re: mystery of the minds Ezerre nodded, not caring much if anyone saw it or not, and followed them all to the midst of the dragons. He did not see how hundreds of dragons had suddenly appeared in a cave when they were almost extinct in this land as well, but he did not have much time to think much on it as one of the dragons confused him for one in the battle and flew towards him. Ezerre quickly flew up and battered the other smaller dragon down and blasted him with 7 different jets of fire, hitting him all over the body, but making sure not to harm him too much. I'm not even in this fight, so don't attack me, he said to it.

Re: mystery of the minds Zeridior landed on top of a rock platform that stuck out from one of the walls and the gold clan leader was there. Hello I am Verdel and this is Zeridor my dragon. "I dont care who you are", the gold dragon snapped. We wanted to know if we could help you resolve this war. "I doubt it this war is for the nesting grounds and every clan wants it to them selfs." Well we will talk to the other clans. We must wait for some people who are accompaning us on this trip.

If you all don't stop this fighting right now, you're all going to die and no one is going to get the nesting grounds, trying to bring a little bit of peace for a moment so they could try to talk things through, but not hoping too much. He could see they were all very enraged.

Re: mystery of the minds Listen to him ,Zeridor shouted to all the dragons. Only about four dragons seemed to notice them. Its almost like there under a spell, Zeridor said to Verdel. Thats it, thought Verdel. Zeridor go into that other cave over there! Zeridor did as told and in that cave at the very back was a shade standing there. Why have you done this? Because the dragons mean nothing to me and I long to see suffering. But I thought this war was about the nesting grounds. Thats what I wanted them to think. Hey get In here I need help, Verdel shouted to the other dragons following him.

Re: mystery of the minds "Get him" shouted Zeridor as he flew towards the shade. No, shouted Verdel. With a single wave of his arm the shade sent Zeridor flying aganst the cave wall and he fell unconscious. Verdel was also flung against the wall but he got up and ran up to the shade. He unsheathed his sword and jumped towards the shade who blocked his attack and slashed at his chest and cut Verdel. Verdel did not care about the cut and he jumped at the shade again who disarmed him with a flick of the wrist. Now you shall die for trying to stop me. The shade held the sword up to his throat and Verdel yelled out to Elcyon and the other dragon to help him.

Re: mystery of the minds Ezerre flew slightly up in the air and blasted sevent jets of greenish gold flames down at the Shade from his throat, then flew down to pin the Shade down with a claw. He knew that the Shade could use magic to stop him, but if he did he rested happy that he had already caused damage, for he could not protect himself from the flames and fling away a dragon at the same time. As he expected, he was blown backwards, but he righted himself and looked at the Shade, who seemed to be severely burned. Even as he saw, though, the Shade started to heal his wounds. Your energy will run out soon, Ezerre said.

Re: mystery of the minds Thanks Elcyon, said Verdel. But I an not leave when there is a shade here even if it is dangerous. He picked up his sword and charged at the shade again. The shade was more tired this time so he was an easier target. The shade still was to fast for him and slashed at his arm and cut Verdels arm. Hurry someone distract him I need to heal Zeridor. Verdel ran over to Zeridor and started using a healing spell. Zeridor awoke moments later. Did we kill him? No not yet and we need your help. I will do what I must. Zeridor flew into the air ready to attack.

I hope this ends soon, El fretted to herself. I can't believe that a shade is doing all of this. Re: mystery of the minds El wasn't sure what to do. She only encounted a Shade once in her life, and she had barely made it out alive. Whatever the case, Verdel seemed to have things under control.

Re: mystery of the minds Ezerre quickly flew towards the Shade, one point of his claws heading straight towards his heart, but at the last moment the Shade blasted him against the wall with a gust of air. The rocks protruding from the cave wall poked and scratched him very hard, causing pain and bloody gashes. He snarled and blasted the most powerful jet of fire he could at the Shade, then said to Verdel, As soon as he blocks it, you come in and finish him. He's tired.

Re: mystery of the minds The blast of fire hit the shade and he blocked it as expected. Verdel took out his sword and ran at the shade. He did not have enough time to attack so Verdel threw his sword and it peirced the sahde through the heart. Verdel was so exsausted from the fight that he fell unconsious. Verdel!!!!! Zeridor flew over to Verdel and put him on his back. Lets go.
