 The Door to my Heart is ClosedI was all alone
Never minding though I really loved it so Until the day you decided to show Me how I could feel I opened the door to my heart You made me feel real Then you went away Didn't think to pay Me a call or say It's over, just left me to pick up the pieces of my heart So now I closed the door Never to open it again Or so I thought But the door opened again When Daniel walked in And now you come around Your jaw hit the ground When you realized I wasn't yours anymore I saw you and waved. The door to my heart is closed. But your the only one who can't get in.  I don't like it but you may. It was just a spur of the moment poem. |

Sophi was sitting all alone in the corner of the school lunch room when a boy came up. Chris sat down in front of her. Sophi wasn't that popular. Actually she was a loner without friends. And to herself she didn't think she was at all pretty. She had long silver hair that made her self-concious and often made people ridicule her. And to have someone come up to her and talk to her was a new experience. " Hi. What are you doing?" Chris asked looking at the sketch pad infront of her. " Drawing. Now it's my turn. Why are you over here?" She asked drumming her black finger nail polished fingers on the table and looking at him with gorgeous emerald eyes. " Nothing really. I just though you looked lonley over here alone." Chris said with a shrug. Sophi laughed. " That's the point of being alone." She said then went back to sketching. " What are you drawing?" Chris asked. Sophi sighed and decided that she wouldn't get rid of him until she answered his questions. She showed him it and he gasped. " That's cool." He said as he examined the picture of a star-scape. " It's beautiful." He added with a smile at her that flashed bright white teeth. " Thank you." Sophi said and actually blushed. " No problem. Do you think that you could show me some more at the cofee shop around the corner, say, around fiveish?" He asked. Sophi gaped at him. " S-ssssure." She stammered and Chris gave her a smile and got off his seat and left. Sophi gaped after him. Had that actually happened to her? At five Sophi entered the cofee shop and spotted him sitting at a table. He waved her over and it was his turn to gape. She had her hair up and it was streaked with black and she had on a silver tanktop and a pair of darkwashed jeans. She also had on silver chandelier earings and a silver necklace with a moon pendant at the end. She smiled at him and walked over carring a bag. She sat down and pulled out her sketch pad. That was a first of many dates they went on and soon Chris gave Sophi his senior class ring to wear. She had smiled at him when he had given it to her and then she had hugged him. Everyone though them an odd couple but Chris didn't seem to mind so neither did sophi until one day. It was a rainy day outside and Chris and Sophi were at the same cofee shop that had hosted their first date. They were holding hands across the table smiling at eachother. " So where do you want to go for our five month anaversary(sp)?" Sophi asked him. He laughed and smiled at her. "Where ever you want to." He replied. Sophi smiled. " I don't care either." She said. " Neither do I." He replied. She smiled. " How about we talk on this particular subject?" She asked. Chris nodded. They parted with sweet words and later Sophi picked up her cell phone and dialed his home number. " I'm sorry Sophi but Chris has left for his father's house in New York." Chris's mother said when she asked for him. " For how long?" Sophi asked worried. " Five months." His mother replied. Sophi was crushed. " Whas it last minute?" Sophi asked. " Nope. He knew about it for at least a month or two. I've got to go. I'm really sorry Sophi, Good bye." Chris's mother said and then hung up on Sophi. Sophi dropped her phone to the floor. She sat back on her bed stunned. The first person she had let get close had shattered her heart. Why hadn't he told her. Why did she have to find out like this? She let tears run down her face. A week later Sophi sat down in the same cofee shop that had held fond memories and tears found their way from underneath her sunglasses onto the table. " Are you alright?" Asked a voice. Sophi gasped and looked up into the blue eyes of a guy that she had never seen before. " I'm fine." She said on a sigh. He sat down across from her. " You don't look fine. What's wrong?" he asked. " Nothing." She said in a small voice. " I'm Daniel. What's your name?" He asked. " Sophi. Sophi Advasaria." Sophi said on a shaky breath. " Well Sophi. Why don't you tell me about it?" He asked with a smile. Four months and three weeks later Chris walked into the Cofee shop where Sophi's mother said she would be. He knew she would be mad but he had to tell her he was sorry for just leaving but he had been confused about how he had felt about her but what he saw stopped him short. Sophi was sitting on a bar stool laughing at what a guy had said. And when she saw him she stopped. She got off the stool and walked towards him. She pulled something off her finger. And as she walked by she dropped his ring in his hand and walked out followed by the guy. He stood there stunned. " What is wrong? Is it something I did?" He called after her but go no response. He had lost her. And that realization hit him like a frieght train. |

Re: The Door to my Heart is Closed star, that's lovely. Not since Robert Frost have I read such a fantastic and moving poem. The story left a little bit to be desired, though.
