Character Personality: Faraeta is shy and avoids human/elf companionship as much as possible. Since she was born without magic (a deformity among elves) she was shunned by the elven population which has made her reluctant to befriend any of them. She has experienced what it feels like to be an outcast and so she has a weak spot for anything that is not entirely accepted by their race. She sees herself in anything that has been ignored or is treated unfairly. Faraeta is very emotional about most things, but hides her emotions behind a mask of serenity that she learned to use since she was a young child. She is easily hurt by any criticism, but is too polite to let anyone know if they have offended her. Faraeta's home is a mile from any other's home in every direction to discourage elves from visiting her. It is hard to make her lose her temper, but when you do, her wrath is difficult to face. She believes others would prefer not to have her company and so extracts herself from relationships. Most of the time, her only contact with the outside world is her dragon, Songwind.

Character History: Faraeta was born in Ellesmera. It was soon found out she could not wield any magic and so she was shunned except for her mother and father who spent as much time as possible with her. When she was young, the children she tried to play with would tease her using their magic while she struggled to use what she didn't have. When she was old enough to understand the other kids were not her friends, she withdrew from the social world and threw herself into learning to use her sword and long bow.
Faraeta was 20 when they asked her to touch a dragon egg to see if she could be a rider. She accepted, knowing that if one hatched for her, she would be able to use magic. Eagerly, she ran to be the first one to touch the eggs. Indeed she was the first one to be at the Dragon Rider's HQ and was admitted into the Incubation room. She saw there were only two eggs. It was strange because usually they brought three. At least that was what she was always told. She reverently felt the first egg (which was midnight black with veins of ivory), and when that didn't hatch, went to the other egg (which was a foggy morning gray with ivory veins through it). The second egg didn't hatch for her either.
Dissapointed and heart weary, she decided to run away from her past and join the human world. When on the trail, she was blinded by a light that shouldn't have been in the shady forest. She went toward the light by the trail and discovered the light was being reflected off of an egg. It was the purest white she had ever seen. It was even whiter than snow. She had no real hope it would hatch for her, for she was convinced her life did not include magic in it, but she picked it up, intending to return it to the dragon riders. She got a huge and very pleasant surprise when it started to rock back and forth violently in her hands.
A big wind suddenly blew threw the forest and whistled through the trees. The hatchling dragon whistled back, then placed it's snout on her right palm and shocked her by placing the Gedway Ignasia on her palm. Faraeta decided to raise him without the dragon rider's help because of her memories of other elves' cruelty and her wish to protect it from that.
Two months later, after traveling on the road and buiding a tiny house under the protection of the ancient trees in Du Weldenvarden, she thought of that first day on the road and remembered how her dragon had whistled back at the wind and decided to call him Songwind.
115 years later, while flying in the dark night sky, Faraeta sensed alarm from her companion and only friend, Songwind.
" What's wrong? " she asked.
" The winds of change are at work. We must enter the human land and find out what we can do to help. " answered Songwind.
Songwind would tell her nothing else, so she agreed. They made a brief stop at their tiny hut to pack some things and then soared off to find out what adventures await.

Weapons: Magic, Sword- Made by Faraeta's own hand it is perfectly balanced and attuned to her grip. It is made of steel with an ivory hilt and sheath. It has a small quarter sized daimond in the hilt, and Longbow- Made by Faraeta from the antlers of a deer that had the misfortune to be the prey of some carnivore the stave has an eye carved on it.

Likes: Songwind and outcasts

Dislikes: Companionship (other than Songwind) and bullies.

Animal Companions: None

Character's Physical Description: Pale skin, slight frame, Silver eyes and hair, and her eyes are tilted. Her hair falls to her waist and is usually tied back with a cotton strip. She stands at 5'7" tall. Appears to be in her early twenties.

Dreams for the Future: Master her magic, help Alagaesia find peace.

Reason for Dreams: To use it as other elves do (As in naturally), so Songwind can be at ease.

Alignment/side: Varden's since it seems that Galbatorix is a bully and the Varden seems an outcast from the Empire.

Parents:Father-Windheart (Carries a rider), Mother- Falaernave (Wild)

History: After being raised by Faraeta, he flew back to Ellesmera to find out who his parents were and why he was left on the side of the road. In his anger of being forgotten, he burned 2 houses down before the elves explained that they were ambushed by soldiers and believed his egg had cracked, and had to get the other eggs out of harm's way. The soldiers must have dropped his egg in their haste to get him to Galbatorix. When he was finally calm enough to listen to the elves' questions, he told them his Rider was Faraeta. The other elves were surprised. They had no idea she was still alive and offered their respect for Songwind to carry back to her.
One day, while Faraeta and he were flying, he felt a deep and powerful instinct to fly southwest. He assumed it was his magic, which was tied to the land, telling him that he was needed.

Personality: Songwind is protective of Faraeta and would sacrifice himself to obey an order of hers. He won't let anyone but Faraeta touch him unless there is no other choice. He loves to tease Faraeta to see her blush. He finds it interesting that elves and humans could change color so easily. He is careful not to embarass her too much, though.

Colour: Purest white

Appearance: Songwing is slim for a male dragon. His shoulders aren't as broad as most and he is faster than most because of that. His eyes are the exact same color as Faraeta's, but with white streaks in his irises.

Armour: Silver armor created by Faraeta in her spare time.

Dreams for future: Help peace flow through Alagaesia

Reasons for dreams: So his magic will stop bothering him all the time.
