Re: true name of alagesea. It was joke, you mispealt alagaesia and instead wrote alagesea. Silverwolf used this as the source of a joke (alage_sea, (keep in mind alage is not a word so silver used Algae)). I thought it was quite funny though it loses it's effect if someone has to explain to you.

Elves have names for places in the AL but it is not their true name and if they did than elves would call them by that not the other name. If places did have true names than Galby would have already found them and have complete control over them.

Re: true name of alagesea. As far as I am aware there is no limit to how long a true name is. Alagaesia true name could be hundreds of words and may contain some words that no-one has discovered. Galby not being able to discover alagaesia's true name dosen't mean alagaesia dosen't have a true name. We don't even know if Galby is searching for the true name of alagaesia.

But considering how important it would be that Eragon know if places like that had a true name, CP would not leave that information out and since it isn't in any book and Oromis and Eragon have a conversation about true names they don't have true names. Alagaesia is not a thing or a person. It is a general name that has already been given.

but anyways, the trees and mountains and stuff in alagaesia have a true name, but alagaesia can't really have a true name because it's just a name that people put for the land they live in. I can't believe I agree with gomenesigh lol_________________
