I think eragon has always known since he met arya that one day they would be together. Idk how but it all adds up. I think they will go back to the place where the elves first lived never to return as it implies in the chapter deathwatch in book 1. There is noooooooo way eragon will go for nasauda because he is obviously in love with arya and this is loved that aint easily lost or forgotten. I agree that Eragon is after Arya, but it's way too predictable! Plus Angela's fortune telling only said an epic romance, no lasting relationship. Maybe this just means that eragon fancies arya, but she always rejects him.

what if eragon doesn't end up with any one we've thought of? some where in the books it talked about how the blood of kings ran though in carvahall and therinsford. what if eragon fell in love with a girl from there? she could still be of noble blood.

I think that Eragon will continue to like Arya through the 3rd book. He has loved her thus far, and it seems only likely that he will continue too. I do not think they will get married, though, because elves do not marry. They may have a child, as the ultimate vow of love. Before any of this happens, though, Eragon needs to learn more about her and whoever her past love interest was, the man on the fairth in her room, perhaps Faolin?

i agree with notcrazy. you people have missed one thing though: Arya is most likely gonna be the next rider and then she'll be more like eragon than any other girl, therefore making her the best choice for eragon to marry, and we already know she likes him enough to give him a chance a thousand times over. read eldest and you'll figure that out easy. it's the fact of whether she becomes the next rider that makes all the difference.
