Even though Kiakashi has spent her life in a orphanage, she isn't sure if it really is her eighteenth birthday, but she is told she needs to go out on her own now.
She was given some food and was sent on her miserable way. She was told that the town of Shiyunt often had free positions for jobs. So she decided to make her way there.

She set out on a road that led from the small she knew only a little of. She headed south for the new life she hoped would be grand.
Twilight was coming down like a blanket and Kiakashi put her hood down, her dark hair was shimmering agaisnt the coming stars and moon. The cool air felt good and it was fresh as if a slight rain storm had come down earlier.

Kiakashi was not looking where she was going, she tripped over what seemed to be a low wall. It was made from wood and when she went to look closer it slowly turned into a small glass rose. When she looked closer she noticed a little Ither trying to free herself.
Kiakashi broke the silver rose and the Ither came to her ear, and she began to talk toour to her.
"If you cotinue to your destination, stay there and learn trades, stay there and work al over town. As soon as you have mastered the skills there I will see you."

Then she was gone, Kiakashi still confused kept walking. Kiakashi walked all night long and didn't feel tired at all, the Ithers words still in her mind, troubling her.
About the time the sun started to rise Kiakashi could see the town. She walked a bit faster, it took about another half half hour to reach the town. When she did she consintrated on looking for an inn. She found one and walked in.

"What can I do for you ma'am." The bar tender, also owner, said to her in a heavy Irish accent. "I need a place to rest, but I don't know how I could pay for it." The bar tender came around to her. "You can work for you stay, are you a good cleaner, a good cook?" He asked her with a smile. "I am good at cleaning, but I have never cooked before."
