it's more likely to be under his throne because he is there more. but i guess that they would guess there, so under his mattress might be more likely.

It sounds a bit like his treasury , so why shouldn't he hide it there? Nobody knows much about it - those who eragon has asked so galbatorix probebly thinks it's safe if nobody knows of it.

Helgrind, who would look near the razac and it is far away from where they used to be hidden.

well logically it should be somewhere deep in his castle in a vault or something with guards and stuff around itbut i think somewhere like the vault of souls is where it will actually be. that makes for a better storyline.

Yeah, but then it would take too long for them to get the egg. Then if they get it from the razac in the begining of the story they can begin training really soon

thats a good point but it is just too easy of a place to hide the egg. galby knows that eragon probably knows the razac's lair is at helgrind. it just seems to easy

In Eragon when Eragon was with brom in Dras-Leona and Galby went to see the monarch because he was abuising his power. I think he acctually went there to put the egg in helgrind. He would not trust anybody else with the egg after one got stolen and he could not afford another being stolen. That is why I believe it is in Helgrind.

It is probably hidden in Helgrind, gaurded by the Raz'zack (sp).

it isnt bcos its probly in uru baen guarded by the king and eragon will probly get captured and escape taking the egg with him and then will probly give 2 arya

I think its in Helgrind. Everyone says it can't be because of the razac. However the razac are galbys slaves and he does trust them - in Eragon galby sent them to carvhall to retreve Eragon and the egg. They are also dependent on him as without him i do not think they would be feeding as often. Its obvious that galby does not want the egg to hatch for anyone except for whoever he has chosen and is completely loyal to him n galby would probly accompany this person to where the egg is anyway because he trusts no one. He has already had one egg stolen from right under his nose and the varden and the elves all think the egg is in the castle, n the twins can tell galby that.

Yes. I agree with you. But not only that, I think that the Vault of souls is in helgrind. Remember, in Eragon it says "Step before the rock of kuthian and speak your name to open the vault of souls" or something like that, anyway. And what other major rock thingy-majig do we know about? So if this is true, then Helgrind becomes the perfect place to hide the egg -- even if someone did deduce it was in helgrind, it would be locked up safely in the Vault (And the person would presumably not know how to open it )

no, i think solumbum would have been more serious about the prediction if it involved the egg, i think the egg is being protected by shruikan as for the vault of souls i think its in du weldenvarden but helgrind would be more fitting.

i think that leaving it a helgrind, ureabaen, in his huge pocket, under his matrss, is a bit obvouis and would know that eragon or the varden would look there. so maybe in the spine,in the desert or just hidden in some house somewhere and the owner made to forget or not tell by galbys magic
but saphiras egg was in the ureabaene treasury. and he would know that the varden know that so maybe not there.
maybe the passage jeod found would help.

I agree with you there plus the illusion that was hiding the entrance to the razacs cave or whatever it was. If it was so high up why would their entrance need hiding. You'd think that everybody would stay away just for their own well being. Just a thought......

i think it's in Helgrind because the Razak are Galby's own personal dragon hunters so it would make sense for the egg to be there.
