Skills: Daniel is very adept at lightning magic. He has mastered the alteration of the air patterns to call down lightning from practically clear skies. He can do this with little to moderate energy loss, and at his worst can strike ten or twelve spots at once.

Character Personality: Daniel has always favored the Empire. He loves Galbatorix for the strength he represents and hates the Varden for their cheap tricks and weakness. He wants to become Galbatorix' right-hand man someday, a spot he's revered and sought after since before Galbatorix found his pet Murtagh. Daniel feels a strong jealousy toward anyone Galbatorix takes an interest in, because he wants to be in the King's spotlight, being praised for such a good job he's done of controlling the stupid public or some other such petty thing. He's got a major inferiority complex, and is liable to explode on anyone who attempts to one-up him. He's got a major strength: he's good and he knows it. He likes to control, manipulate, and otherwise torment people just for the head rush it brings him. He has a secret dream to someday take Galbatorix' spot should he someday die. Some of Daniel's hatred is spawned by the fact that his father died when he was young. Most of it comes from the fact that deep down, he feels lonely. He's never experienced love. He wants to find a girl that shares the same dreams as he does and that will love him for his superiority. He knows the chances for this are one in a million, but hopes and is lonely in turn anyway.

Character History: Daniel was raised in an Empire-friendly city. He had a peaceful childhood even though he was a half elf. He was picked on, but always strong enough to defend himself against even the worst of the bullies. Early on, Galbatorix learned of him and recruited him for the army. His father, Erik, had been an honored and high-ranking soldier. He died on a mission to find a boy in a little town in the mountains when Daniel was eight, and this fired Daniel's soul. He vowed to avenge his father, should it cost him even his life. His mother protested furiously at his wish to join the army, but might well have been speaking to stone. She retired to a life of dull, halfhearted attempts at what she used to love in life. She had a little garden that fell to ruin shortly after Daniel's departure. Daniel was an amazing soldier, and quickly rose in the ranks due to his half-elfhood. He was a rarity in the army, which was mostly comprised of humans, and so was given one of the eggs Galbatorix was hoarding. The egg was green with golden veins running through it. It hatched instantly, of its own accord, at the boy's slightest touch. He named his new dragon Jynk and cared for her as he would a child, though he was only a child himself. They grew in strength and fame, and soon were renowned and feared for their cruelty. One conquest they were most famous for was the sacking of New Gil'ead. It was a town about two leagues south of Gil'ead, created of rebels. The town was more than just a bunch of tents. It was a true city, with about two thousand people in all. Galbatorix commissioned Daniel to go and quell the rebel force, and that's just what he did. He arrived above the town shortly after the break of dawn on his fifth day out of the capital. By sundown, the houses and shops were charred ash and the former two thousand now numbered only twelve. These he brought to Galbatorix and had the personal honor of beheading them himself. They serve Galbatorix as a couple of his most trusted agents. Now they reign over the city of Dras-Leona as the unofficial Count and Dragoness of the city.

Weapons: A blade named Elyktra that has a rather...shocking bite. It's a Rider's blade, made specially for Daniel by Galbatorix' best smith. It's been imbued with the usual Elvish magicks. The blade is roughly as long as from Daniel's left elbow to his right forefinger in length. It's got a green hue with a golden gem in the pommel.

Character's Physical Description: Daniel is about five foot, ten inches tall. He's lean and muscular. His cheekbones jut out slightly, creating a shadow of nobility across his entire face. His eyes are green with golden circlets and reveal a lust for power and the hidden charge of lightning that he possesses. His hair is jet black and hangs, usually in a loose ponytail, to just below his shoulderblades. He usually wears a dark brown tunic with black slacks and doeskin shoes. Elyktra stays by his side at all times, and he usually has a shield slung on his back. He has armor, but rarely uses it. The armor itself is red and black, and small spikes reinforce otherwise exposed areas.

Dreams for the Future: - To one day take Galbatorix' spot as King. To be powerful.

Reason for Dreams: - He wants the power that he sees his most revered and respected teacher has. He likes power.

History: Jynk was born in a time before Daniel was born. She was carried around as an egg by the Varden for quite a while before Galbatorix himself hunted her down and slew her carrier. He took her back to a very safe vault, and held her egg there until Daniel came along. She knew it was time to hatch because she felt a strong intuition in her mind that Daniel was the one to become her friend. They quickly did, as they both lusted for power and relished in the deaths of their enemies, and she quickly grew into a large dragon.
Personality: Jynk is a very fiery dragon. Her personality is sarcastic, cynical, and vindictive. She is very protective of Daniel, and will singe or flay anyone who comes near him without his permission. She loves the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of the kill, and has acquired a taste for Urgal blood over the past few months. She doesn't have any friends in the other dragons, because they all feel she is crazy. Her hatred is mostly spawned by loneliness.
Colour: - green with golden eyes
Appearance: She stands about twenty-three feet tall and as wide as a barn. She's large for a five year-old dragon, but surprisingly lithe. Her scales are a dark, woodsy green and her eyes are a deep golden color, as the sun on the horizon of a lake at sunset.
Armour: (if any) - She was given Imperial Dragon Armor by Galbatorix, but rarely uses it.
Dreams for future: - to stay by Daniel's side forever.
Reasons for dreams: - He is her Rider, and she knows they will be most powerful when they're together.
