Skills: Weapon Morph - Due to the material used by Keralin in forging his weapon and Eriel's training with magic, Hayren can use his magic to change his staff into a bow, sword or other weapon, but in certain cases when he needs something else it will change easily. Hayren will have to have seen what he needs first though and the transformation uses very little energy.
Stance - Learning from Keralin Hayren has learned the different poses and stances that make swordplay. His skill with these are not perfect and his knowledge is nowhere near complete however he is learning quickly.

Eyes: - Teal when he is doing nothing. When he is using magic his eyes turn green and when using a physical weapon his eyes turn blue.

Character Personality: Hayren learnt many ways to live from Eriel and Keralin and he is still figuring out which is best for him. At times he can be as cold and emotionless as a stone whist at others his emotions control his every action. He never talks to others much as he feels he has nothing to say, but whenever he is around Taliear his confidence is much higher and he says more. Due to their bonding at such a young age Hayren and Taliear are more alike then any previous rider and dragon, yet this is not to say that they don't have their disagreements. Hayren makes sure he always has Sorrael by his side as it is the only weapon he has. When threatened, or at least when he knows he is being lied to, Hayren becomes brash and arrogant often saying things or doing things that he later regrets. Hayren enjoys time with his parents occasionally as it means he can relax a little more but he doesn't like having them around as it draws attention to him from undesirable people and monsters. In the whole world there are only a few things that scare him, the most being Eriel when she is angry, Keralin when he is serious, Rimfax and Nilarek. If Hayren encouters an enemy that he knows he can beat then he becomes arrogant and brash, often taunting an enemy and making moves to show off. When he is forced to be apart from Taliear, Hayren becomes nervous and on edge.

Character History:
Hayren was born in the forests of Du Weldenvarden, in the sacred ground surrounded by his parent's closest friends; Faefnir, Star Gazer, Reb, Phalynx, Terenor and Navarre. Since he was twelve Hayren showed a natural talent with magic, shaping things that touched his hands with ease. Keralin made him a toy ball that he could shape easily order to encourage him to develop his skill, while Eriel showed him the other wonders of magic. It was then that Hayren was presented with Emrhyst's and Aelir's egg, which hatched for him. Hayren, with the help of Aelir, Emrhyst, Eriel and Keralin, named the dragon Taliear (See Dragon below for pronunciation). Hayren and Taliear grew up with each other and never separated for more than a few minutes. They enjoyed each other's company and did almost everything together. Unfortunately for them both, after the forces of evil found out about the younglings, they were their main targets and were hunted frequently. After an encounter with a shade Hayren showed his power with magic by transforming a tree branch into a sword and defending himself, showing his prowess with close-combat. Luckily Eriel and Keralin were near to defeat the shade but it was after both Hayren and Taliear were injured and scared out of their minds from the encounter.
Both Hayren and Taliear spent more time alone then they did before, not talking to anyone except each other. They walked long in the forests, always staying close enough to reach for help but far enough away to have their privacy, it was then that they encountered a peculiar raven. It wasn't particularly bright, nor was it stupid, it just stood there in front of Hayren and Taliear eying them off. Hayren reached out tentatively to the raven's mind to find out why it wasn't running from a dragon. As it turned out the raven simply wanted some food and could smell it from Hayren's pockets. Even though this simple creature had no concept of elven emotions it helped Hayren and Taliear regain confidence in themselves and in their abilities. He thanked the raven by keeping it continuously with him and feeding it even after he decided that he needed to learn to protect himself if he wanted to resume a normal life. That afternoon he asked Keralin to make him a weapon out of the same material his toys were made of. It took many days but eventually Hayren was given Sorrael (See Weapons), a weapon that he could remake into whatever he wanted. While the weapon gave him more confidence than before he started looking for a fight to test his new abilities.
Unfortunately he got his wish when Nilarek took an interest in him, the only thing that saved his life was the raven noticing that something was wrong and warned Hayren and Taliear. Hayren was able to morph his staff into a sword and deflect Nilarek's blade just in time. With his new found strength and courage Hayren worked with Taliear and the raven to keep Nilarek at bay until Eriel and Keralin showed up yet again on top of their dragons, Aelir and Emrhyst. After a large battle Nilarek was forced to retreat into the darkness yet again. Hayren knew at that moment that he could survive in the world, even if he was attacked.

Weapons: Sorrael (Soh-rah-ell) - A weapon made by Keralin from very specific metals after Hayren demonstrated an abundance of magical ability. While it stays in staff form for traveling and occasional battling Hayren can change it into whatever weapon or tool he needs provided he has seen it before.
Eriel's enchanted arrows - Hayren carries a quiver that holds near fifty arrows, all of which were enchanted by Eriel. These arrows are able to harness an element, that Hayren decides on, and use it to inflict different sets of wounds. Since these arrows are a set which haven't been made before Eriel also enchanted them with the ability that they fly back to the quiver after they have hit their target provided they aren't stuck in something.

Likes: - Mom and Dad, his dragon. He is still trying out new things.

Dislikes: - Chores, being bossed around by Eriel and Keralin and training.

Animal Companions: - Raven
The Raven, which hasn't been named yet, found Hayren and Taliear in the forest looking for food. Hayren fed the Raven food and in return the Raven stayed with them. The Raven has the ability to sense danger a few moments before it strikes, this has saved Hayren's and Taliear's life a few times.


Character's Physical Description:
Hayren is 168cm tall with a medium build of muscles. He is a little lop-sided as he doesn't use a shield often but he uses Sorrael as a staff. If he knows he will be battling something, he uses a specially crafted armor made by Keralin which is a blend of metals that are tough yet in places can be shaped by Hayren.

Dreams for the Future: - To find a way to destroy evil so he can finally live a life in peace.

Reason for Dreams: - Because he knows that until the evil is gone they will keep hunting him and anyone he loves.

Dragon Name: - Taliear (Tay-lee-ar)

Age: - 24

Gender:- Male

Parents:- Aelir and Emrhyst

History: Taliear was hatched in Du Weldenvarden in the same sacred grounds that Hayren was born in and was bonded almost immediately with Hayren. His upbringing was in the best of conditions with Emrhyst and Aelir taking care of him and teaching him about being a dragon. Taliear stuck with Hayren for most of his time, enjoying his company. He had never received any training for battle and thus was unprepared when he was attacked by the shade in the forest.

Personality: Taliear's personality is very similar to Hayren's in that he is still figuring out his place in the world. He resembles his rider somewhat as you can never determine what his emotions will be, however he is more level headed that Hayren is. Like Hayren, Taliear also gains confidence to speak when Hayren is around although he does speak more than Hayren. When left alone though Taliear makes use of his ancestral memories to guide his actions, although this usually leads to more harm then good.

Colour: Teal

Appearance: Taliear has a large wingspan, larger than most for his age. His talons are curved sharply and dangerously, with a hint of sharpening due to Aeraldi's occasional influence. His scales shine brightly in the day and twinkle lightly in the moonlight, reflecting the stars.

Armour: (if any) - Typical armor made by Keralin, it is teal to match Taliear's scales with a few decorations made of gold. While it is also flexible and light, it still is bulky and restricts movement slightly. Some places on the armor can be shaped by Hayren.

Dreams for future: - Same as Hayren

Reasons for dreams: - He is still very new to the world and is not sure of what he truly wants. The only thing he can be certain of is that he loves Hayren and will help him with anything.
