If Murtagh where to die this is how it would go down: Eragon after getting his funky super powers will be fighting his brother-Will have the opportunity to kill his brother, Eragon in his reightious ways will of course be the melodramatic steroetype 'I can not do it, you are my brother!' kind of thing; Then Murtagh will take the advantage and come back forcing Eragon back since he is refusing to kill, he slwoly gets injured more and more until Arya finds them on a peak, or dungeon, or plain, or space craft, (wherever it si they will fight) and kills Murtagh right before the killing blow.

Re: which main character will die Dude it can't be Nasuada because they already killed off ajihad the previous leader of the varden, as for roran it's a possibility but i think he will live and katrina will get killed off causing him to go on some emotional journey in which galbatorix will try to mae him evil beacause the new dragon egg will have chosen him but in the end he will stay good. But deffinately not nasuada that wouldn't make any sence killing off another varden leader it would be a stupid choice

one or more of these
A.Islandzadi(riders loose leader humans loose rider as did the dwarves that leaves the elves)
OR
B. roran(it would explain eragon leaving)
