Character Personality: Smart Quiet but fierce if provoked. He is kind of a loner. After his parents died he wandered around Alagaesia disguised like a human. He is very nice if you can crack the shell of sadness he's had to live with for five years. When he was a child he was a bit of a loner in the community because he couldn't control the vast amount of magic he had since birth. When he would get emotional, as children do very often, his magic would take over and he would make things happen.

Character History: Lived in Ceris all his life until one day when he was about 11 he was playing outside with a bunch of his best friends who actually weren't afraid of his magic, when a human who had been captured for poisoning an elf in Ceris ran by. The human had escaped from the jail and was making a run for it. Veras, being the brave individual that he was, tried to stop him by stepping in his way. The human ran right into Veras and knocked him flying. Veras then lost control of his magic and released a fierce blast of pure blue energy. The blast not only incenerated the thief, but all his friends as well. It was then that his parents decided that he had to learn to control his talents so he didn't hurt anyone else. He was sent to a small neighbooring village where for 5 years he trained with a master sorcerer named Ikea. Ikea was a well respected magic user who long ago taught warriors magic for KIing Evandar's army. After he returned to Ceris, he was the most magically powerful elf there so people asked him for advice. One night, after he stays late to give an elf advice, he came home to find his father laying outside, dead, killed by magic. He rushed inside and found a hooded stranger creeping through the house. He confronted the stranger and they had a magic duel. It lasted unusually long, but in the end he killed the stranger. He ripped off the stranger's hood and to his horror found it was Ikea. He found a strange Blue stone in Ikea's pocket. He searched the rest of the house and found his mother dead also. In his grief he wondered outside, gathered up some supplies, and set out for the desert, which was the only safe place he could think of to hide. After about two weeks of wondering around, the egg hatched! He immediately realized it was a dragon, and remembering the lessons Ikea taught him, which seemed pointless at the time considering he never dreamed he could be a rider, he raised the dragon until he was strong enough and large enough to breath fire and carry him. He named the dragon Piro in honor of his deceased mother. He wanders around the Hadarac desert helping anyone he sees in trouble. Recently he heard rumors of a new rider...

Character's Physical Description: thin but tough ready to strike out He is quick while fighting and is very flexible, making him almost undeafeatable in battle. He's about 6ft. 1in. and about 170 pounds.

Dragon Name: Piro

Parents: unknown

History: Unknown, but recently Veras has discovered evidence that Ikea might have been a Dragon Rider himself. While traveling together, they have discussed many theories, including that one of her parents might have been Ikea's dragon, or that Ikea was a thief and stole her egg from her parents.

Personality: Piro is a lot like Veras. They are both extremely shy except when they are around each other. Piro is a skilled hunter and has helped Veras survive in the Hadarac desert where they have been hiding for the past year. She is quick to anger, and unlike most dragons, she can use magic at will, making her a very formidable opponet. She would do anything to protect Veras, as they share a special bond that neither has had in their lives.

Appearance: Piro's scales are a deep blue with flecks of white and black thrown in random places. She is about 25 feet tall at shoulder height, and 35 feet from tail to tip of the nose. She has extremely large fangs which she uses to great advantage to help hunt the scarce prey in the desert. Her eyes are identical to Veras's, which just strengthens the bond between them. Her fire is pure white and is so hot that anyone within five feet of the flame could suffer burns if they stand there for very long.

Reasons for dreams: They both know that if Veras could dream, he could change the course of events in Alegaesia without risking either of them any harm.
