In another topic, I read that Eragon may kill Galby by fighting him really high in the sky,
so he could not breath any more... That sounded cool, because it means that Eragon's intelligence
will win against Galby's power!

I doubt it Galbatorix was a trained dragonrider I'm sure they taught him not to go up to high and besides i bet he has some spell to help him breath in such high places

maybe he'll poison galby

Maybe it will not be Eragon, who kills Galbatorix. It could for example be Murtagh or somebody else? Who knows?

I think eragon will kill galby with his fav word, brisingr, and use it on his current wep and kill galby. He may even use brisingr to set galby alight and eradicate him.

eragon liek has to kill him. but i think it won't be with magic. i think that they will like befighting with magic and then they r equal and soo it left to the swords and then this long sword fight begeins and then finnay eragon get nock down or get hurt. and galby comes up and i s about to kill him when eragon pulls out a dagger and kills him and galby last words will be about the third sibling or like "eragon iam ur true father"jk. lol but thats what i think.

How could eragon & galby's power ever be matched? Even if he did do his training, it would take a miracle!

and if someone other than eragon kills Galbatorix i think it should be murtagh all the way.

As I've said in other topics, I believe it will be a 3 way attack, from the 3 new riders. One physical, one mentally, and one with magic.

I think eragon and saphira will get loadsof power from under the menoa tree(powerful wepon) and from the vault of souls (powerful magic)

Im pretty sure that Eragon will be dominated if it was a magic fight so Eragon tricks him into not using magic and sword fights him. OF course it will be one sided then some force will help Eragon step up from a great fall and woop galbys butt

I think that Eragon will confront him, then Darth Vader will pick him up and hurl him off the deathstar.

I would think that whatever happened to eragon, galbatorix would make his best efforts to spare him from death in order to save saphira. I would guess that an act like that would probably be the way eragon would have a chance to overpower galbatorix

maybe he'll show up at the last minuite, keeping us in suspense throughout the whole book. Most of the story has been building up to seeing galby, so i doubt cp would let us down!

maybe eragon becomes weak because he doesnt kill him because he doesnt like killing and he makes him pledge to forfit the throne and not to commit evil again

well i don't think that oromis would teach eragon how to rapidly increase his strength. he would have done it a long time ago

We all know one fact: Galbatorix will be defeated; but who and how? We don't know. We need to keep in mind that Galbatorix is powerful and Eragon cannot defeat him yet.

All we can do is keep guessing!

Now with elven traits it should be easier for him to keep his mind iron clad closed; but he is not yet at Murtagh's or Galbatorix's level.

Okay, let me see if can make this clear:

1. "Now with elven traits"= during the Agaetí Blödhren, the dragons changed Eragon. They gave him many traits of the elves, the speed , acuteness in the senses, the rounded ears , the strength, the endurance... but he is still a human. They anuled Durza's curse and removed the scar on his back.
So I am stating that he gained the traits, no where did I say he was now an elf.

2. Saphira and Arya provided the distraction needed so that Durza would not give Eragon the final blow.

3. It was because Durza was going to attack Saphira that he was able to overcome his pain an kill him even with his sliced open back.

4. Oromis did not defend Eragon from Durza, he shielded him from the pain, he shielded his mind form the mingling of the memories from Durza after the spirits were released from Durza's body.
What I understood was that the spirits tried to inhabit in Eragon's mind and Oromis called Eragon to come to him. (But this is my own personal interpretation. I could be wrong.)

OH MY GOD! How could I have missed that. The Menoa Tree is alive. Ayra confirmed it before telling him the tale. I do not think it would attack him, but maybe the tree's strength and power is the weapon. Maybe the Menoa tree would transfer him a distinct kind of power?

The theory of Murtagh killing Galbatorix, has been running around the site. If you come to think of it, it would be quite a twist. AND at this stage anything can happen. I mean we do not know what CP has in his sleeve for the last book.

Also at the moment Eragon is unable to defeat Murtagh, could be Murtagh has already killed Galby etc. Make the last battle, brother against brother. Or have it end with Murtagh killing Gably, that would mean a new series. Or could Roran kill Galby?

Gleadr or someone else who has seen Galby can scry him while other spellcasters give he\she strength to overcome Galby and Shruiky. They could do this to Murtaugh ( I am no speller] and others :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

i see no prob;lem with the menoa tree assisting in giving eragon, or his weapon extra power.
you may ask why. k. why would a dragon tattoo heal eragon, and change him? making him stronger and more capable? the dragons healed him because he needed it to servive the battle.
same with the tree. i'm sure it is aware of its surroundings. so it knows of the troubles.
i think it is possible the tree will do something when eragon gets his weapon. he needs all the help he can get. and the menoa tree is an antiant magic. even older, and possible stronger than galby. . you never know whats possible with a good book.
i think galby being defeated will be an effort of eragon and hopefully murtagh, possibly arya, but the new dragon rider will probably not be experianced enough. (unless it is someone like aryra. ). they may let murtagh throw the last blow to help prove himself not evil at heart.

what if galby wins and kills eragon, then murtagh stabs galby in the back and takes the throne, then shruikan swoops down and kills murtagh and thorn and commits suicide and then nasuada takes the throne and turns evil?

then then saphira turns evil and joins nasuada, but she sneezes on nasuada and turns her to ash then orik comes along and kills saphira and takes her throne, then a smelly old tramp with really bad garlic breath burps on orik and takes the throne! now thats a twist!!!!!

well. n-e-ways though. it will probably take a multy sided attack. mental, magical, and physical. for only one to do this they would have to be one extreamly stong person. espescialy moraly so that they aren't tempte to take over and become what they just destroied.

and as well as eragon fighting galby, what about saphira and shruikan? surely shruikan will be far stronger than saphira!

but yeah. i'm sure he would be stonger. doesn't mean he is evil. he didn't hatch for galby. he wasn't ment for galby. i don't recall if it was mentioned, but galby could know his true name. that's how he controls him.
but then again he may not have true control. may be why he never leaves the castle. everyone would wonder where the dragon was. i know it said he was going to gil'ead. but he never ended up going. and that's the only time the books mention him leaving.
