Sometimes I wonder if I will ever serve my purpose here, Kuja thought to himself as he was walking along an inner balcony of the Uru'baen citadel. As of late, he was given much more time on his hands... which was unusual. Usually the old fool was constantly sending him out on missions. For almost a week now he has been stuck within this so called 'palace'. Kuja stopped and thought for a moment. I suppose I could continue looking into old books in the library. Shadows surrounded him and he vanished. Moments later he reappeared in the royal library. Most people were actually restricted from it because it holds many books of magic. After spending several minutes of grabbing books and scrolls that caught his eye. He found a table and rested himself down and began to read.

Selris growled and turned his ahead away and rested it on the ground. Since she clearly wouldnt listen, he thought ignoring her would be the next best thing. Selris took a deep breath and closed his eyes. However... certain thoughts kept tugging in the back of his mind.

Eh, short.

"You tell me." Kuja stated bluntly. Again still trying to avoid her questions.

Short.

Kuja remained where he was. He didnt move an inch for what seemed like an eternity.

Keia almost snarled. Almost. I won't understand? I beg your pardon, dear Kuja, but apparently you were never informed or didn't care to learn the past of the Empire's dragons. she hissed, her scales bristling. You've never wondered how, exactly, I got all of these scars, particularly the one over my eye? They certainly are not battle scars. she snapped angrily. Just because I'm younger than you and inexperienced and all of that crap does not mean I don't understand that one must do what they have to from time to time. And just some info for you; being emotionless does not strengthen you, it actually weakens you. Take my word for it or not, I don't give a rat's tail. Perhaps they do avoid you; get over it. Life isn't a bed of freaking roses. I know, because I've seen the darker side of it. she spat bitterly. Don't ever say I won't understand, Kuja. Ever. she turned and stomped away, her tail weaving back and forth. She contemplated bumping into Selris, irritated as she was, but decided at the last minute that she didn't really want to fight at the moment and simply walked past the silver dragon. Several dragon lengths away, she plopped onto her haunches and glowered at the ground, completely ignoring both of them.

Keia growled softly, then huffed reluctantly,"Fine. Two hours. Then I'm coming back down here." she said. She turned on her heel and stalked away.

Two hours passed. Kuja was still laying in his bed.

Kuja shifted slightly and slowly opened his eyes half-way. In a low voice, "It seriously couldnt have been two hours already...." Kuja shifted to his other shoulder now facing the entrance. In an attempt to try to sleep again.

Keia ground her teeth in frustration,"It has, Kuja. I had a magician give me one of those time baubles. I set it to go off in two hours, and it did. Eka thorta du ilumëo (I speak the truth)." she said the last part in the Ancient Language, binding herself to her word. She leaned back against the wall and crossed her arms over her chest,"What is your answer?" she asked quietly. She hoped he would just make this easy on the both of them.

But let me remind you she wasn't actually trying to get at him before. Now she will be.

Kuja remained silent and didnt move. He really didnt care, he just wanted to sleep more.


OOC:caterpillar im literally laughing while typing this. I cant stop...its just too funny
