OCC: This is my first RP so I’m really excited! I think I’ll only use Lilan for now cuz I’m not exactly sure when I want to have Asmis in yet. To anyone who wants to join in the awesomeness.

IC: Lilan ran swiftly through the tall weeds that covered the edge of the mountains. This is bad, she thought, this is really bad. She looked back to see if the cacophony of soldiers was still behind her. Thank God, she thought as she saw only empty forest, I need to find some forest… let’s try this way. She took a large step to her left, still running, and sprinted on the slope of the mountain where it met the flat ground. Just keep running, she whispered. She heard a low growl to her right and did a complete 360˚ recon of the area.

She didn’t see anything but she knew something was there. After finding a small patch of trees, she knelt quickly and did her best to control her breathing. What is it? she asked herself, It’s not a human… It’s definitely not a soldier. She reached out hard with her mind, like her father had taught her, and looked as far as her limit would go. There it is! she said with menacing excitement, Here we go.

Post Re: Here We Go
Danuvaen crouched low, his posture reminiscent of a lion on the hunt. He massaged the earth with his claws, testing the solidity of the soil. He didn't want to be caught unawares by a loose patch of dirt and stumble. He was too hungry for that. His barbed tongue snaked out and he licked his lips, salivating heavily. His favorite meal was the short-life-two-legs, and it looked as though he would be feasting tonight. When there was one, he'd learned, there were quite often more nearby. Though he couldn't be sure, he intended to find out.

The trees surrounding him provided cover. They weren't dense enough for him to hide in the heart and not have his head poke out, so he waited on the other side of them for his prey to come close enough. They were tall and thick, and their shadows helped camouflage his dark grey, nearly black, scales. Finally, she was within his range. With a roar he surged forward, knocking down the trunks. He spread his wings and flapped them as he charged to gain speed. He would not fail. He would sate his hunger with his favorite delicacy.

OOC: AHH! :D THANKS FOR JOINING! I’m excited now! It’s a dragon right? Sorry I’m new at this so you gotta kinda help me along  … sorry

IC: Lilan slid her feet smoothly over the rough dirt, This is gonna be fun. A huge venomous smile wrinkled her pale face and made her eyes shine like tiny glints of stars. She set her feet far apart to give her stability and balance and crossed her arms over her chest to keep her heart from being hit first. The large black object moved swiftly through the trees and brush that it was hiding behind and jabbed with large teeth towards her head. She ducked and let out a soft yelp when the beast nicked her shoulder. Blood stained her tight black shirt where the soft fabric was torn. She stared angrily at the gash, then at the winged greyness. Dodging out of sight quick enough for the being to loose her, she raced into the thickest clump of trees and brush that was in her viewing range.

OOC: Yeah, Donnie is a dragon. If you'd like a little bit of background and whatnot on him, you can find his bio here. Just so you don't feel too bad, I'm a newbie too, but I've RPed a lot elsewhere, so I'm not clueless.

Danuvaen's blood lust was only worsened when his talon ripped her shoulder. A low rumbling sound echoed from within his chest, almost like sinister laughter. He truly expected her to be his dinner. He did not, however, expect her to dash out of sight. With a furious snarl, he breathed in deep, testing the flavor of the air. The wind wafted her scent to him from a concentration of foliage nearby. His eyes narrowed as he considered how to come at her next. He was starving; every movement took effort. He didn't have time to play hide and seek with her. His tail twitched irritably as if it had a mind of its own. This had to be ended, and quick.

Counting on his superior sense of smell and sight, he rocketed into the air and hovered above her several hundred feet. He wanted her to come out from her little hiding place. He wanted to break her back in one dive and carry her off to a safer place for consumption. Of course, having lived wild for several weeks, he'd learned he didn't always get what he wanted. But he was going to try.

Post Re: Here We Go
OOC: Mind if I join? lol time to meet Solarae! :D

IC: Solarae raced towards the sounds of battle, intrigued by the thought of getting into a fight. The centuries-old dragoness loved a good fight, and had been in many. So many, in fact, that she only seldomly found a difficult opponent. Her small orange form whisked towards the scene, and she halted before she reached the immediate area, scenting the air with wide nostrils. She could smell a two-leg, and a dragon. The dragon's scent was laced with the signs that he was hungry; starving, even. Solarae anticipated the thought of fighting off a starving dragon, for those in such a condition were much more fierce. If he proved a good sport and accepted defeat, however, she would be glad to hunt for him. Poor guy. Too bad I'm gonna have to kick your butt, she thought, laughing.

The small dragoness- only about as tall as a human when she stood- slunk beneath the scraggly bushes, creeping closer. She could see some of it now, or at least the wild rushes of movement and attacks. The two-leg girl darted away, and the dragon rose into the air to search for her. Solarae caught his nostrils moving, and was thankful that she was downwind of the fight.

She ran away, bounding over obstacles and ducking under branches. She reached a higher hillside, and stopped, turning around to see what was happening. The large gray dragon was still hovering. Solarae tensed her muscles, unfurling her fiery colored wings in preparation to spring. She leapt from the hill, catching the air with her wings and shooting towards the bigger dragon. She surged at him, announcing herself with a battle cry, and flew over his back. She snapped her wings forward, flipped around in the air, and dove straight onto his back, crouching between his wings and out of his reach. Move away from the human, man. I don't want to see your scales get singed. Oh, wait! That's what they already look like! she cried, laughing.

OOC: AHH! Yes you can join! And thanks Deyja for explaining that to me. I feel way smarter now! Lol foliage is a fun word. :D

IC: Lilan kept her breath light and silent as she watched cautiously from behind the low branches and bushes that concealed her tall, black-covered figure. She watched in awe as a small orange dragon appeared from one of the cliffs, growling and speeding towards the colossal grayness of the other dragon. It looked like a little pixie next to a giant. It flew swiftly and dove onto the grey dragons back, dodging what could have been a fatal hit to it’s wings.

Lilan weighed her odds with the pixie and the giant. Well, she began as she inched her way to a larger patch of foliage, I should have a better chance with the tiny orange one than the one who could easily eat me whole… I hate dragons.

Post Re: Here We Go
OOC: I just wanted to clarify that yes, I did change Donnovan to Danuvaen. It was his original name, I changed it at the last second, and I don't even remember why. Personality and appearance wise, though, he's still the same dragon.

Perhaps in any other situation, Danuvaen would have been thrilled to meet another member of his species. As far as his limited realm of knowledge went, the only dragons in existence were Saphira, Shruikan, Thorn, and himself. This one was clearly female, and shockingly tiny, but he didn't have time to contemplate it before she was on his back. Surely she knew what a pestilence she was; from between his wing joint, he couldn't even turn his neck around and grab her foreleg, as he most likely would have been able to were she of normal size. He roared in frustration and began to fly madly like a dragon possessed in a misguided attempt to throw her off.

'I'm hungry and she's of no concern to you,' he said acidly, executing an aerial backflip that he hoped would have the desired effect. At the back of his mind he knew that it was futile. He knew he couldn't reach her, nor could he throw her off, and he was only wasting his time trying. With a great sigh, he simply ceased flying, allowing himself to free fall until he was just fifty feet from the ground. There he extended his full wingspan and allowed the membrane between the bones to act as a parachute, delivering him and his unwanted cargo to earth.

'There. I'm leaving her alone. Now off.' His pride injured, he shook himself rapidly in a last attempt to throw her off. Having her simply glide off unharmed would hardly make him feel better. He looked over to the brush and trees where he knew his prey was hiding regretfully. She would have been a delectable end to his unwilling fasting.

Post Re: Here We Go
OOC: Hey, same goes for Solarae, what Deyja said earlier. The link to her bio's in my sig, in case you want to know anything else. lol 8)

IC: Solarae gripped the larger dragon's scales tightly with her talons, unshakable from his back. She had a lot of experience fighting other dragons, who were always larger than herself. She knew enough to stay on this one's back for a while. She cocked her head in slight confusion when he landed, giving her a shake and conceding with a demand for her removal. She grinned and patted his back in a friendly manner.

In truth, I'm a little disappointed you didn't decide to fight. But that's okay. And dude, if you're hungry, I can catch you something. I happen to be a very proficient hunter, she said happily, hopping off his back and leaping into a tree. She would keep her eye on him for now in case the dark gray decided to try something, but she wouldn't persist in fighting when she could make a potential friend.

My name's Solarae, by the way. And contrary to appearances, I'm actually a few centuries old, she introduced, her sky blue eyes sparkling. Her dramatically shifted demeanor gave away how she treated others; she was extremely friendly to anyone she thought might be a friend, and fought ferociously anyone who might be an enemy. To her, there was no gray area. She grinned again, exposing the extremely long, gleaming pair of canine teeth in her upper jaw.

OOC: You guys are seriously awesome! :D Thanks for helping me with the bios and stuff. If I knew how to do that, I would. Lol we all have blue eyes!

IC: Lilan watched cautiously as the colossal gray dragon tried his best to wriggle free from the tiny orange form’s grip. She was surprised when the giant landed not ten feet away. The autumn colored pixie floated off and perched on a tree. They must be talking, she thought, holding her breath in and stayed crouched like a stone statue. Okay, she began, What are my options? I could run: not gonna work. They have wings you dummy. Wait until they leave: they would surely smell me out before then… I could just walk out there and let them rip me apart… that’s about my best bet, considering I die in any situation.

So slowly, Lilan stood up from behind the berry bushes. Both pairs of blue eyes were on her then. Hers stared blankly back into theirs. When she looked deep into the petite orange dragon’s eyes, she saw happiness and excitement. An entirely different world than the grey dragon’s. In those, she saw thirst, hunger, and the tiniest bit of pain. Prudently, she inched her way towards the giant and the pixie.
